Rainy day? Use the underground concourse to get to your destination. You can avoid rain or cold weather en route to destinations on Market from 11th to 15th, and along Broad from City Hall to Locust.

Hungry? You're just steps away from Reading Terminal Market (12th & Arch Streets), a one-stop shop for everything from local produce to cheeses, cheesesteaks, hoagies and pretzels.

There are no ticket machines at this station. They close early on weekends. The morning information staff is more helpful and friendly. Check out the neat mosaic while you wait.

If you see a man in a wheelchair rooting around in a garbage can - please buy him some cheese. Wish we could do more to help folks who are homeless.

If you buy a day pass for the train at market east make sure youre buying the independence day pass. The other day pass is only good for subway buses and trolleys. The independence pass covers it all

None of the magical plugin outlets near the floor work on the platforms level. Up the escalator I found one that works on the second level. trainview.septa.org Free wifi!

The easternmost Center CIty station, Market East is located beneath the PA Convention Center and Reading Terminal Market. Access to The Gallery, SEPTA MFL, and PATCO (via concourse) seal the deal.

Originally known as High Street, it's called the most historic highway in the country. Ben Franklin's famous kite-flying experiment was said to take place at Tenth and Market.

Center of the Universe. Smoothie shack around the corner is cool. Go to the Asian one, not the corporate one. The daughter is kinda cute. $5 for a big one.

All trains on 3-4 operate to Suburban Sta. and 30th Street. Also, make sure you're in the correct section, as trains stop at the front or rear (A or B) part of the platform. Ex., Airport - 3A
