Great seasonal (and local) menu, not too expensive. Good surroundings to sit in with coffee if it's not a meal time. Good selection of teas. Profits go to the Hub - so you're supporting a good cause.
Food is good especially breakfast is nice. However service is amateurish when it gets busy.Once We were there for lunch on a Saturday and they kept us standing while there were three available tables.
The chap behind the bar (maybe the bar manager?) really knew his whiskey. He was happy to take 10 minutes to talk us through their selection in great detail.
Great deco and great atmosphere. But 4 weeks after opening, they still don't have a clue how to make a coffee - from boiling milk in a latte to no froth in a cappuccino. Stick with the food.
A rather limited menu, so if you have any dietary requirements (veggie, gluten free) you might struggle to find anything suitable. Very enjoyable food though.
More effort has gone into the decor than anything else. A poor flat white in shabby crockery. Lackadaisical staff meant people waited upwards of 15mins for a coffee. Didn't bother staying for food.
One of the worst breakfasts I ve ever had. Cold pastries. 4/4 poached eggs hard boiled. Asked for new ones and they only brought 2 and they were hardboiled as well. Never again.
