- No complaints. Platinum upgrade on pts stay Sat-Sun. Reasonably large size rooms for the city and the recently renovated rooms are nice and comfortable. Easy walk to grand central - will stay again.
- Good place to stay for SPG Platinum tourists w/ Suite Night Awards: Use them here and get a Junior Suite with view at Chrysler Building. But don't expect hight plat recognition (this is NYC after all)Upvoted 1 week ago
- Westin Hotels & ResortsApril 21, 2014Tucked inside Grand Central Station, the Campbell Apartment is truly a hidden gem. With its cozy couches and grand fireplace, the Campbell Apartment is the perfect place for a nightcap. Read more
- Camron KingFebruary 13, 2014Westin Grand Central repeat customer here! Love the location and the hotel/rooms are comfortable and clean. May not be the most upscale Westin, but it's on brand and a great property.
- Rooms here at the Westin are generally bigger than NYC W's for the same price. Great location just a couple blocks from Grand Central. Duane Reade conveniently located around the corner. Nice spot!
- Ralph MeyerAugust 20, 2022Got a great deal online and enjoyed this property. Room was immaculate, spacious and everything for our stay was in order. Check in and check out was a breeze. The bar area was spacious & well served.
- CherylJuly 8, 2015Upgraded to a comfy king bed in corner room. Westin workout service is ridiculously slow - 1 hr to get all requested gear correct. Otherwise tranquil hotel unlike SPG Times Square properties.
- Internet here is comfortably fast! (Not like in other Starwood hotels in Europe where "high speed Internet access" is often comparable to 1998 modem speed.)
- AlekseyMay 31, 2013Clean and nice with a fresh and pleasant smell in the rooms. Rooms are a bit small, but accurate. Biggest drawback? Paid Internet. Come on, it's 21st century. Don't nickel-and-dime your visitors.
- Dorothy HuntApril 30, 2016The bed was comfortable. It wasn't as noisy for me. They charge for EVERYTHING its overpriced even for NYC. Don't buy drinks at the bar walk up the street you'll thank me later!
- Michael G.October 23, 2022Using key card in the elevator before being able to select your floor does not work quickly enough resulting in missing my floor on the way up and having to stop the elevator on the way back down.
- Christina WarrenMay 26, 2023Dig this hotel. It’s a good location for what I’ll be doing and I got a good rate! Hotel tour coming soon!
- Julian SiJanuary 4, 2019Check-in staff tried to insist on a Destination charge which was eventually waived - Excellent view of Chrysler on higher floors 👍
- Pamir AydinogluOctober 18, 2013Friendly door keepers, room cleaning PERFECT, street noise is at very normal amount. Of course it is better if your rooms are at higher floors.
- Stephen WrightFebruary 11, 2022Nice place to stay albeit expensive for food. Get the room view or you will miss out
- Christina CaraveoSeptember 3, 2013Concierges were grumpy and a bit snooty. See the cheery bellmen for quick help for things. Got an upgrade without having to use my Suite upgrade points - check in desk was more than kind to us.
- David E.June 24, 2019Best service in town. The location is perfect and the rooms are spacious and clean. 5 out of 5.
- Great location and clean rooms, but often rates are more expensive than it's worth
- Lindsey HoganJuly 31, 2015Make sure your room is clean before committing to staying in it; colleagues found left over sandwiches in their mini-fridge. Makes you wonder what else they skipped over in the cleaning.
- Westin Hotels & ResortsApril 18, 2014The Westin New York Grand Central is in prime Midtown East location makes it easy to experience Manhattan.
- Tasos Chatzitheodosiou™June 30, 2014Very nice hotel. Central location and good service. I can't understand why it is not a 5* hotel.
- Location is perfect, & beds are comfortable. But rooms can be noisy, & room service is sloppy. However, it's currently half the points of other Westins for SPG Free Nights, so works out well.
- Dennis AgusiOctober 28, 2013Great place to stay! Love the large rooms and convenient central location.
- SanDee PriserSeptember 6, 2013Rooms are OK but service, especially for SPG Platinum, is consistently disappointing. Very slow check in. Only 12 suites so forget upgrade even if you request Suite Reward 2 weeks in advance.
- Matt LawJune 27, 2016Worst thing after a long day of travel delay is showing up in a long line at check-in. Well, this is the hotel... Long wait with one person. fool me twice now, will not have a third time !
- Jose PrietoOctober 28, 2012Other than a name change and facelift this place doesn't impress me. The very small space at front makes check in makes it a free for all.
- Westin Hotels & ResortsApril 21, 2014Meet me under the clock. As the literal center of the station, there's never a dull moment waiting here. Read more
- Maya DominguezOctober 1, 2012A bit noisy in the mornings with construction (temporary) and traffic and a lot of horns in the morning.
- Jonathan KhooJune 15, 2013Do they not believe in fabric softener? My $2.99 towel from Walmart is less sandpapery.Upvoted Sep 21
- Stephen LuoFebruary 2, 2020Probably the worse Westin in term of service attitude, they are not probably trained and don't care. Room is fine, could be noisy because of the windows sealing.
- Christopher ShabazzJuly 11, 2015This hotel died not impressed me none. Everything was expensive. The housekeeping staff dust not leave fresh towels and the room was not as clean, finding hairs on the bathroom sink.
- Lisa IngellisOctober 17, 2012Wait until construction is done. Jackhammers go until 11 pm. Coupled with street noise, sleep is difficult.
