A workhorse (in a good way). Makes a good drink at the bar, a solid breakfast, a small (by DC standards) dent in your wallet.

Chesapeake Room Eggs are unbelievable. Poached egg on top of a crab cake on top of a fried green tomato. Brilliant.

The Po' Boy with horseradish-encrusted oysters is delicious. Served on a crusty roll with spring onion new potato salad and turnip slaw.

Hit or miss. We had brunch at the bar. Service was slow. Staff was polite but not welcoming. Didn't seem crazy busy, but they looked overwhelmed. Steak and oyster omelet was disappointing.
