Percolate: An old Soho standby. Not much to add about Balthazar except that it's worth making a reservation (especially on Friday mornings). Oh, and we're not sure about that bowl of coffee.

Percolate: This place got 3 stars from the Times and now you can't really turn up for dinner without a reservation. But they've got a sort-of secret breakfast that's totally delicious. Try the baked eggs.

Percolate: Another local breakfast spot for our old office, the best thing about The Smile is the feel of the place and simplicity of the breakfast. Where else can you order baguette with brie and jam?
Percolate: If you're looking for something a little quieter (and fancier) Mercer kitchen is a nice spot. The breakfast is simple and you're pretty likely to run into a celebrity. (PS - Breakfast is upstairs.)

Percolate: Inevitably you need to meet someone at Union Square for breakfast. This is a pretty good move. Make sure you snag a seat before you order so as not to get stuck eating standing up.
Percolate: This is like the secret Grey Dog. It's a good spot for a meeting as it's much more spacious than the University location. We must admit we had a few early breakfasts here after not leaving the office.
Percolate: This isn't a place you go for service (we're pretty sure the servers don't care whether you eat or not), but it's hard to beat the location (right on Union Square West).
