order chicken parm on a roll. sit at the counter, relish the old school booths and salad bowls your italian family definitely owns. go for lunch on a friday or any day and smile at a tucked away gem
The chicken parm, Italian combo, and Saratoga club are all strong choices, and you're going to want an order of the calamari and the Buffalo cucumbers too. [Eater 38 Member]
Order mozzarella sticks and the salami (ricotta) toast. Dip the sticks in the fresh ricotta. Then sit back and wait for the heart attack, so you can die a happy man. In memory of P-Hayes.
Chicken parm hero is a 8.5/10. The seeded bread is perfect, the cheese is excellent, the cutlet was pretty good maybe a tad over done. I've had better and much hotter out of the oven. I'd come back!
LOVE this place!!! Everything is great. Garlic breads are often overlooked but definitely order them if mozzarella sticks are bit too filling. Rotini on the side of chicken parm is to die for!!
Chicken parm, obv. Mozzarella sticks are perfect, no frills, great crispy exterior. Great wine, too. Cool old-school red sauce vibe with classic rock (lots of Billy Joel) playing.
The New Plan: Bring a friend and go splitty-split on the mozz sticks (as an appetizer, obvs) and the Chicken Parm and Saratoga Club (chicken salad mixed w/ potato chips!). DO IT!
It's hard to pass up the famous chicken parm but the saratoga club is amazing too. You just have to get a side of house made mozzarella too if you go that way!
I know everyone goes for the chicken parm, but if you're not feeling something that heavy the Saratoga Club is excellent: chicken salad, lettuce, tomatoes, bacon, zesty mayor & potato chips.
Just one of the damned best places in NYC. The ricottatoast is magnificent (though ask for more toast if you are more than 2), Chicken Parm roll is sweet, and don't miss the ice cream cake.
The first thing you'll notice is how small this place is, even for NYC. Don't let the lack of space put you off-this place rocks. Great service. Veal parm is amazing, and the bolognese sauce is killer
Small menu but it won’t disappoint! We started off with the mozzarella sticks & I had the eggplant Parmesansandwich on a roll! My entire family had meatball subs and enjoyed!
Had the chicken parm hero (just perfect) and the Italian combo (packed with quality cold cuts, some crunch and the right amount of spice), both amazing and really filling.
Ask if they have the Rock ShrimpBruschetta - a special seasonal item. It's like the crazy delicious cousin to the lobster roll - the cousin you want to eat over and over and over again.
This old school, red-sauce italian sandwich spot is brought to you by 2 relative whippersnapper chefs in the NY restaurant scene, and they've done good. A favorite Foursquare lunch spot.
Chicken and meatball parm, both great. Go here for a quick filling meal but be aware: the pasts is surprisingly spicy and the music is so loud that you want to leave at first.
It's a very right squeeze in here, especially for the toilet. But if you can sit up front by the bar or are happy to be cozy in the back, then come and enjoy the great food!
The chicken parmigiana was everything I was hoping it would be and better. I'll hopefully be back to try all the parm varieties and the delicious I looking side dishes.
Clearly specialize in parm sandwiches, and they aren't kidding around. It's unbelievable. Place is pretty small but service is quick and to everyone's surprise they play some dope R&B to top it off
A throwback Italian-American sandwich shop from the serious chefs who brought you Torrisi Italian Specialties. The meatball parm and chicken parm are standouts.
Great hearty Italian sandwiches. While you can never go wrong with chicken and eggplant parms, turkey is the jam. Add a side seasonal veggies and thank me later.
House-pulled “mozz,” in balls or sticks; the vinegary iceberg “Sunday” salad, which becomes a “Holiday” salad with some salami and cheese; and the eponymous sandwiches—eggplant, chicken, and meatball
With zesty tomato sauce and oozy melted mozzarella, the chicken, eggplant and meatball parmsandwiches at Parm in New York, as well as the Italian combo hero, can’t be beat. Read more
From Eater: a casual Italian-American bar and sandwich shop - the second restaurant from Mario Carbone and Rich Torrisi. Order the chicken parm, Italian combo, or Saratoga Club, plus the calamari.
believe the hype. chicken parm, fried calamari, and ice cream cake were all great! the price is right - and vegetarians can choose from options galore. waiter gave a ton of freebies also!
Listen, the chicken parm & mozz sticks will blow your mind, but if you're feeling a little #FatDenny the chopped salad (with chicken) is a real sleeper hit. Do it!
the Saratoga Club gets lost in the shuffle but is my sleeper choice for best sandwich. and despite everyone raving about the buffalo cucumbers, the broccoli rabe is far superior.
Welcome to one of my favorite places to eat. You seriously can't go wrong with anything on this menu but I suggest: turkey on a roll, chicken parm platter, Saratoga Club, and the ice cream cake!
Total Italian comfort food. Can't go wrong with a Parm sandwich but if you want something really memorable, get the spicy yet delicious Saratoga Club. Recommend the calamari and brussel sprouts too!
Patty Melt, $25 The beef they use for this patty melt goes where no patty-melt beef has gone before: into a LaFrieda meat locker, where it’s aged for 60 days. Plus great smashed potatoes on the side.
The chicken parm is easily best I've ever had. Flavorful tomato sauce, little basil, perfectly cooked chicken breast, amazing sesame roll. None like it.
Be careful when you try the eggplant parm. It's so good that you'll never be able to order eggplant parm from any other place. This is the price of perfection.
What else to order other than a meatball parm from a place called Parm? The melted mozzarella in the toasted hero is mouthwatering with the juicy meatballs and fresh tomato sauce.
eggplant parmsandwich is the best I've ever had. Perfectly cooked tender eggplant, great tomato sauce, loaded with fresh basil, on fantastic semolina bread. The eggplant sandwich to die for!
In a neighborhood filled with excellent restaurants, Parm is probably my favorite. I always get my sandwiches on a roll because the bread tastes better than the hero. Plus it saves you room for cake!
In my experience, the meatball parm (more like a patty) comes out much quicker than the chicken. So if you are here for a quick bite, get the meatball (both are equally delicious though)
