Uncle Tom's reopened in June 2014 with a menu full of authentic pit barbecue items like brisket ($10.95), baby-back ribs ($19.95), and chicken ($9.95). Great barbecue at a good price.
disappointing to hear this place WAS old school southern. it should be called Tio Tom's Cuban BBQ Fusion. the pork sandwich was Cuban pork (mojo) with BBQ sauce on a potato roll.
This place has been here forever. It changed hands a few years ago and became much more Hispanic. For decades, however, this was the only old school southern BBQ place around. Still tasty though.
Been a miamian all my life and driven by a million times. Heard it was good back in the 80's, but don't waste your time. Food is horrible. Got the baby back ribs and i think i can make better ribs.
Bad service and sad food. Do NOT visit this joint. I thought it was a "Cracker Barrel" style restaurant but its just a low quality cuban place, you can go anywhere else for better Cuban food.
I've visited this place a few times now and with every visit the service keeps getting worst and worst! Food felt average as well. Hope these are not signs of where the rest. is headed.
