After much wandering, my boyfriend and I happened upon this place. We sat in the bar section. It was cozy. Authentic food, full bar. Absolutely recommend the Shrimp Creole. Excellent service!
Crawfish boil and shrimp and grits were amazing! Food was great but our waitress messed up our checks 4 times... Granted we had a party of 12, but it took 45 minutes to get our checks straight.
Had the Cajun calamari as an app. and the flavor was so great. Then shared the shrimp from the boiling pot with sausage and corn. The corn was the juiciest I've ever had.
Fried catfish, crawfish étouffée, and creole jambalaya all beautiful. Can not decide the best. You just can not go wrong. Bread pudding generous size and tasted like French toast.
Food was WAY TOO SALTY Sat in the courtyard - beautiful. Drinks were tasty. Crabcake and steak were good. Oysters and potatoes were laced in salt and I love salt. Ppl next to us said the same.
Overall, the food was very tasty. We did send back our duck once because it was undercooked. It came back out very nice. Gator bites are not strictly gator, it is a pork mix. Kind of deceptive, IMO.
Although I am not an expert, I would say they offer good creole food in the French Quarter. The atmosphere is really nice and they have good local beer.
This place should be at the top of your happy hour eats list. 75 cent raw oysters and all their apps are half off! $6 crab cakenapoleon was great! $3.50 gumbo and $4 jambalaya. $4 drafts to boot.
This place has good ambiance.. Maybe other than the horrible lighting of the fountain. The staff was friendly and food was served quickly but food was bad. I eat better creole food in Indianapolis
