Josh KOctober 20, 2010when picking someone up, dont park in the short term but instead turn right into the private area just before the round about. the people don't check.
Very small airport but awesome to deal with compared to LAX. Only an hour flight to Oakland. jetBlue is amazing!
There is not better airport in the country. Just wish there were more direct flights.

Much easier to fly in and out of LA from here. TSA checkpoint was a breeze
The food options are pretty good for such a small airport.
Tony CicolaDecember 16, 2011Yes it's quick to pass security n cheaper to fly BUT make sure to eat - don't expect a Starbucks - theres a cafe but expensive for little choices. Wouldn't want to spend an hour here waiting!
Snallish airport for easy on and off. No frills but then again do you really want a frilly airport?
Relax NApril 18, 2013Security a bit slow and backed up so give yourself extra time...even through priority lane.
There's a self checkin kiosk near the entrance to the security line that is almost never used.
Maybs MApril 26, 2011If you're flying JetBlue, there are check-in kiosks past the ticketing area toward the security line. Skip the wait!
Once you get out of security, go right if you're flying JetBlue and left if you're flying anything else.
the terminal has brought slower and longer security lines. Allow more time.

Not sure how you can call a giant portable and airport but that's apparently what passes for one in Long Beach
Hotwire car rental cheaper than alternatives for 4/6-8. (Generally Budget with Costco discount is cheapest direct.)
