Much easier to fly in and out of LA from here. TSA checkpoint was a breeze
Snallish airport for easy on and off. No frills but then again do you really want a frilly airport?
Tony CicolaDecember 16, 2011Yes it's quick to pass security n cheaper to fly BUT make sure to eat - don't expect a Starbucks - theres a cafe but expensive for little choices. Wouldn't want to spend an hour here waiting!
The food options are pretty good for such a small airport.
There's a self checkin kiosk near the entrance to the security line that is almost never used.

the terminal has brought slower and longer security lines. Allow more time.
Small airport but great for Jet Blue flights.... Subtle taste of Cali.
Once you get out of security, go right if you're flying JetBlue and left if you're flying anything else.
Not sure how you can call a giant portable and airport but that's apparently what passes for one in Long Beach
JJ GJune 10, 2009If you need to wait for someone, I recommend a quick stop into "The Pilot Shop". It beats driving around in circles, and you can park for free.

Hotwire car rental cheaper than alternatives for 4/6-8. (Generally Budget with Costco discount is cheapest direct.)
