Memorize the spots where the train doors open so that when the next train arrives you can be the first to get a side seat.
Heading to the city on a weekend? Add an extra 7 minutes travel time for the 33rd/Hoboken train.
When there are delays and the platforms jam packed people act like animals and cram themselves in an already packed train. Always Indians.
During AM rush, between 7-8 front of train to WTC usually has seats in first three cars.
The women riding the trains are the worst...they'll push you out just to get a seat.
Please have your Metro/Smartlink out BEFORE you reach the turnstiles.

Hold your nose here. It can get pretty stinky on a friday night.
In the winter, sit upstairs just past the turnstiles under the heatlamps while waiting for trains. Your body will thank you!- On weekdays for the 33rd st train: Christopher st-last car 9th/33rd-front car 14th/23rd-middle car.
Be prepared at 3 am Monday the fare will be increased to $2.25

They don't like trash cans here. There are none. They prefer you just toss it wherever you want!
You snooze, you lose when it comes to getting a seat.
There are two different 87 buses going opposite directions, sometimes on the same platform 5 minutes apart. Be careful!
One of the banks of escalators from the plaza to the street level isn't working. Be prepared to climb the stairs.
The monthly Smart Link card saves so much time in the morning.
The trains here are great/evil. They leave on time when you're running late but leave late when you need to be there on time.
WTC usually leaves before 33rd street. Both go to Grove, which is good to know when it is cold and your train isn't here.

There are no trash cans for a reason...u ever notice how clean the path train is??? Most likely because no one can bring anything on the train
Avoid being bitten by the mentally unstable by quickly darting into the next available car.
Paolo SotoOctober 29, 2011Skip Deli Plus in the PATH Station- too expensive and crappy service by some of their employees- there are better and cheaper delis in the PATH station and around Journal Square!
Trains are pretty much always on schedule. Reliable transportation!

Another day of living like a New Yorker without actually being one.
Frequency of trains after 11 pm and on the weekends is low.
Did you notice...there's a PathAlert every 10 minutes. What's going on with the Path these last few weeks??
Pretty boring and somewhat scary. Not really anywhere to go or do. Just a weird station.

Stay toward the rear cars if you don't wanna be overly crowded and uncomfortable.
