Not your average veggie burger. So much more and handmade with oats and grains and tofu. A little messy at times but so worth it! Carnivores and veggies alike, try out out!
Perfect place to have a bite and beer and watch the snow flying on the Halifax Harbour! Yummy Gastropub food.

Best beer in the city and the biggest patio with an incredible view. However, the food is very hit or miss and several of the servers are terrible and rude. Go for the beer and the garlic fries.
Amazing food, fantastic in-house beer! Great location and staff! Planning a visit this weekend. :)- Be adventurous try one of the great local craft beers!
Definitely try one of the 2 (always changing) in-house beers!

'HOPPY TUESDAY' is every tuesday from 5pm until close (not 4-7pm as Ben states) $2 per glass off Thistle's own hand crafted beers!
It gets crazy busy in the summer, so try to come in around 2 for a late lunch. :)
Giles CrouchApril 1, 2012The plates seem a little "cold" in terms of the presentation...a certain warmth is missing and the gravy seems to be "canned" versus a thick, true English gravy. Needs more warmth feeling.

DonnieSeptember 27, 2012Clearly aimed to exploit tourists, this place is overpriced and has a very limited selection at the bar. Lobster roll and chowder with Caesar was $30?! It was the worst lobster roll I've ever had.
