Exceptional for both brunch and dinner. It's a vegetarian spot, but I doubt you'd notice if I hadn't said anything. Plus, enormous windows that look out onto the Bay. Really nice date material.
The vegetarian institution remains one of the most gorgeous spaces in the city, and during the daytime, its magical dining room is full of light. And yeah, the menu is as seasonal and current as ever. Read more
Amazing views of Golden Gate Bridge. Great menu and a lot of gluten free options. Try figssalad and chili or curry. Great choice. The service is perfect.
The menu changes daily, but its focus on seasonal fare makes it still one of the best places in San Francisco to eat, vegetarian or otherwise. Read more
Great views from tables near the windows. Brunch here is transcendent — a unique offering in the Bay Area. Dinner is great too — amazing dinner rolls and pasta with Gorgonzola.
Excellent elevatedvegetarian & vegan cuisine. Their parpadelle mushroom dish was heavenly as was their strawberry salad with mixed greens. A+ chocolate & pistachiomascarponecakes. Elite service!
Greens isn't just sit-down. They also have a great "Greens to Go" option during the day. It's quick and fresh. And you can bring it next door to The Interval if you like. :)

First vegetarian restaurant in America; offers locally sourced seasonal mouthwatering fare set in warehouse decorated with massive redwood driftwood with breathtaking views of the Golden Gate Bridge.
Beautiful views and very laid backstaff. If you go between 2-5pm there is no table service and we actually loved that - we brought coffee/cookies and enjoyed an awesome snack
I had the mixed vegetable soup, which wasn't anything special. Would probably come back and try other things though, because the atmosphere and the view was so good.
When you order your drinks, order the jalapeño cornbread or the buttermilk biscuits, too. It'll give you something to enjoy while you peruse the amazing vegetarian menu.
The views, the wine and the appetizers are great-- frankly I wasn't impressed by the entrees. They seemed like what a non-veg would serve you to get you to not like vegetarian food.
simple nice food, good enough for a regular vegetariancafe. but it’s not a level of a top rated restaurant. overpriced. I regret that I chose it for my birthday dinner, it wasn’t cozy or fancy.
Gorgeous views of the Golden Gate Bridge and amazing, upscale seasonal vegetarian dishes with locally sourced ingredients. Great wine list and desserts.
This was well and truly a splurge because this place is very pricey. But the food was extremely delicious and worthy of costing a nights accommodation.
One of the best meals I've had in SF. The service was impeccable even though I showed up there in running clothes after a jog. Can't find a fault with anything on the menu
Can't say I loved the mesquites. Overpriced for quality. You pay for the view. Cornpepper soup was also lackluster for price. Shizen is better every day of the week.
Sunday brunch is excellent, but early evenings are best for watching the sun set behind the Golden Gate Bridge from the floor-to-ceiling windows. Read more
