Glasslands hosts everyone from local stars to up-and-comers to that dude who serenaded you at the G stop yesterday, along with some bigger names; recent shows include the likes of Light Asylum & LE1F. Read more
The infamous Robyn-themed dance party hits Glasslands. This Party Is Killing You celebrates Sweden's most bad-ass pop star, Robyn, by promising a night of all-pop everything. Fri, 6/27, 11:30pm. $5. Read more
Best venue in NY. Consistently book talented up and coming acts. Unpretentious, casual, not a bad seat in the house. Cash only bar, solid selection of booze and beer.
A secret music box in Williamsburg. The small stage, chill crowd, and great bookings are just a few reasons why this is one of my top venues. Saw SBTRKT, shigeto, BBF, fujiya&miyagi here!
The best spot to discover the next band of the moment has an amazing track record for booking hyped indie-rock acts and the DIY decor gives every show the air of a stumbled-upon loft party. Read more
Apart from its like-kind neighbor (285 Kent), the best place in Brooklyn for an intimate show with great bands. Grab a cheap tallboy at the bar and \m/
If it's a chill show, it's highly likely people on the balcony will remain sitting for the entire show. Arrive early and you might even snag the highly coveted couch
Now that 285 next door is also booking indie bands, some say this venue has mellowed a bit. We say the more, the merrier. Definitely worth going out of your way for. Loud music/Cheap beers/friendly
If you're seeing shows here then you're probably catching the next big band right before they blow up. Popgun Booking does an amazing job with this space. A must for indie music lovers!
One of our favorite NYC promoters, PopGun Booking, books this spot, bringing great acts to this great intimate venue. If a show has the PopGun name behind it, go check it out! Read more
"Another smelly music venue in the heart of PBR city. It's a cool place with good views of the stage from all around. A trip to the photo booth after midnight is mandatory." -New Cassettes
One of my favorite places to go check new bands. Check their site before going, as some events require a ticket and get sold out (specially on Fridays)
Even if you haven't heard of the band chances are they're going to be good. Head upstairs for a good view and take a peak at the wall of setlists in the back. An ECG fave. Read more
Glasslands continues to thrive despite looming condos sprouting up around the space. "Cosy" doesn't even begin to describe this venue, where the decor is glorious and ever-changing.
There's nothing fashionable about being late to the party at this BK art space and music venue. Shows typically end by 1am, so start your night here, then head to Cameo for an all-out dance party.
The Glasslands is a community arts space in Williamsburg that oftens hosts live music, dance parties, special events, lectures and ongoing interactive art projects. Read more
“It's on a stretch of Kent Avenue that doesn’t see much traffic & is relatively unmarked, so look for a smokers in front of a tagged wall.” More at http://www.partyearth.com/venues/glasslands-gallery.
Awesome venue, but the bathroom is terrifying. Unisex, small, dirty and crowded. Make sure you're ok to tear yourself away from the music and have some awkward encounters before you venture in.
Such a great off-the-radar venue that it's not really off the radar anymore. Don't miss the Soul Clap Dance Off whenever they host. Insanely good times!
Stop by Glasslands on Tuesday nights for Todd Pendu's "Horror Scores for the Dance Floor." Double fist some free absinthe and get lost in the fog. Read more
