Love their beer, Hannah. Ambience is great, food so far has been super. Get the salmon! The wine selection is very good and at a good price. Service so far has been premium!
Great food, great atmosphere, wish they crafted something like more traditional lagerbeers. But this is a lament I have of most micro breweries and the somewhat snobby nature of craft brewing today.
Tried both the anti pasta and the vegan plates - both are great. If you want a light app for 4, you can live with just one plate. They are very similar.
Beer really good - enjoyed the Hannah Hefeweizen. And Sunday all day happy hour a plus! Lunch had Exile Chicken Sand, so delicious. Husband said burger really good; son said pulled pork ok.
This place is great. . Love all the craft beers the food is always over the top wonderful. . The people that work there are always great and super helpful
Great food and beer ! Awesome atmosphere ! But the parking really sucks for how small a city Des Moines is. If you're going on a busy weekend night, expect to park on the street.
More of a restaurant with the novelty of a brewery. Confluence Brewing Co is DSM's rising star in craft beer. Check out their taproom just South of Gray's Lake.
Good time to come is a Sunday around 12:00 as it is slow. They could stand a bigger parking lot to handle all of the customers! Great atmosphere, nicely refurbished building!
The beer is good. I wish the beer descriptions had more technical info. They don't have discounts for American Homebrewers Assoc. members, but every other brew pub in DSM does. That should change.
Hannah is young, but should get better with time. The beer cheese soup is delicious, but salty (the cornnuts kind of overpower the delicate notes in the soup).
Beers are pretty middle of the road, stylistically they are correct, but nothing says WOW about them. Bartenders know how to describe beers, servers seem unsure of the difference between beers
Beef tippasta was good but very spicy! Betty beer was delish. They should probably have a bigger parking lot and they hung their crown backwards I think...
Good brews and yummy food. Horrible service. Expect your tables to pile high with empty plates and glasses and your beers to be empty for at least 20 minutes
Inspired by the countless immigrants who have made our country what it is today, Exile Brewing Co. is a hand-crafted brewery fueled by the passion of a burn-bright lifestyle, and driven by a unique sense of gratitude for the customer, community and future of our land.
