Great patio. Probably the best mussels in Vancouver. Never had a bad meal here. The staff are always friendly & helpful. Menu changes seasonally so never becomes boring. Portions are a decent size.
Chambar is now open for brunch with ~300 seats. The menu is essentially the same as the Cafe Medina menu of old (including waffles). So if you're looking to skip Medina's crazy lines...
The salmonwaffle was really nice. My brother had the steak and eggs and I was super jealous. I thought it would be huge but actually it’s a nice brunch portion. Strong recommend.
We just dropped in for coffee and waffles this trip. On a previous visit we had a great meal in the restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff and a great atmosphere.
The menu effortlessly hops from BC-flavoured French classics to Belgian moules-frites. Also known for serving the city's best tajine. [Eater 38 Member]
Congolaise or mussels in coconut cream, smoked chili & lime is what I normally get with one of their wide selection of Belgian beer. Their dessert by far is the highlight - amazing dessertchef!
Chef Nico Schuermans’ Mediterranean-inspired dishes highlight the best local ingredients (sustainable seafood & farm–fresh produce like spot prawns & morelmushrooms) w/ Belgian beers & boutique wines
The Blue Fig. Oven roasted figs steeped in gin. Freeze &serve with a side of Danish blue...don't put this in your drink, nibble &sip. The sharpness of the cheese mellows out the figgy gin. Read more

The lounge is perfect for cocktails, mingling and cozy chatter -- but I prefer dining in the back (with the exposed brick and beautiful high ceilings). The mussels are a must.
I got the mussels for dine out and they werent as good as everyone said it was:( ive had mussels in belgium before and they werent even comparable!! Maybe it was just that day?
Very pricy for what they offer. Besides, I asked for a Paella and they brought me a Tagine. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t as good as JamCafe. Go to the next door and you’ll love it.
