Cozy, down to earth French in the LES. $40 Prix Fixe Mondays: aperitif, appetizer, entree and glass of wine. Well presented, solid French at a reasonable (for Manhattan) price.

Great find. The food is excellent (especially the chicken under a brick entree and octopus appetizer) and prices aren't outrageous. Not to mention the ambiance. Jazz and candles? Date night win.

The low lighting and rustic decor create the perfect ambience! Appetizer portions are small. Skip the octopus, but try the duck.
