- Sondra PateeAugust 3, 2014Highly recommended!Plan your animal list map then pack a lunch Get there Early when they open the animals are very active during the morning they sleep late after lunch tend to not be as active after.
- Sondra PateeApril 21, 2013Bring your own food and get there early because the animals are more active and you find free parking in the residential areas saves you money I also recommend get zoo membership depending on visits !
- Cynthia DivinoMarch 5, 2017Best zoo I have ever seen. Animals are nearby, habitats are realistic and it is obvious the animals are well cared for. I will be back next time I visit Seattle!Upvoted Oct 2
- The kids love playing on the boat by the penguins. The Northern area has an indoor space where kids can see the otters swimming. I’ve heard the zoomazium is a lot of fun too but closed during COVID.
- Kimmie NguyenJune 20, 2016This is one of the most beautiful zoos I've ever visited. Very cleverly designed, but also considerate of how much space the residents need.
- Guy TokihiroAugust 4Our first time here and it was really amazing experience! Experience new and rare creatures and animals never seen before in person. Next time we in town will visit again.
- Natalie SwaimAugust 6, 2016Make sure to get in early to avoid the crowds and check the daily schedule for shows/exhibit info. Example: Yola the baby gorilla is only on exhibit for a few hours each day at this time.
- David WunderlinFebruary 14, 2019This is an excellent place to visit and to explore the information about various kind of animals and birds. I love to visit their and always enjoyed a lot.
- Larissa VidalNovember 28, 2015WildLights - an inventive way to enjoy the night with your kiddo. Wander through the indoor Day Exhibit to spy boas, the tree kangaroo, and crocs while you warm up.
- Molly DamenDecember 3, 2017The play place is our favorite place to visit at the end of the animals or just for a rainy day.
- HISTORYApril 7, 2010The zoo let's you step into an African savanna, an Asian elephant habitat and a tropical rain forest. The zoo also brings special exhibits, which have included monitor dragons, butterflies and other b

Every animal you want to see is here.
- Very well maintained zoo. Mornings are better compared to afternoons. Animals do like their nap after lunch ;)
- Go when its rainy! There will be more parking available, fewer crowds, and sometimes its easier to see some animals because they're in their covered areas!
- If you can't see the snow leopard, try standing in front of the raptor barn, facing west, and look up. Sometimes the snow leopard likes to people watch too!!
- Save gorillas 🦍. Recycle ♻️ your handheld devices here to reclaim rare minerals and preserve habitat. Learn more at www.zoo.org/ecocell
- Brian FlockMarch 1, 2015If you have a little one, become a member. It's great to be able to pop in and out.
- Erika HFebruary 21, 2012Got a free sea turtle bobble-head at the gift shop for my first check in! Also, best looking male lion I've seen in a zoo, he even roared!
- Ronnie BaileyMarch 26, 2013Boring. Maybe because I've been to Animal Kingdom at Disney though. All the animals here were either sleep or hidden behind all the junk in their habitat.. Also the paper map is highly innacurate.
- Download the woodland park zoo app on your mobile to get a special daily activity schedule, animal feedings, a digital map and more.
- Pretty good zoo. Sometimes it can be hard to see some of the animals. Also food prices are high so bring your lunch.
- Lillian YoungOctober 20, 2014There is always something new. Check their website to see if a rainy day discount is being offered.
- Chris MarshallSeptember 4, 2015Great exhibits, very clean, helpful and knowledgable staff, great gift shop
- Faather AauroraaAugust 19, 2016awesome place. i love the room where you can sit and colorful birds fly all around.
- Crystal YamasakiMay 4, 2013Splurge for $5 and feed the giraffes! Totally worth the once in a lifetime experience!
- Go early, as soon as it opens. Animals are more active and crowds aren't as bad. North and West entrances are closed permanently in favor of the the new NW gate. Get a membership, it's worth it :)
- Check out the zoo tunes lineup to hear great bands in the meadow every year. 🎶
- Skip the main food place and head to Pacific Blue Chowder House. The food is better and it's less crowded. The outdoor seating can be tough if it's raining so bring a towel to wipe down the seating.
- Tom HouserDecember 21, 2011Buy some Zoo Doo - I love leaving the Zoo with a gallon of poo. During spring and summer they have a "Fecal Fest". Heh.. thats awesome.
- Carla JeanJune 9, 2012All The Wild Cats Are GORGEOUS!! My Favorite Part Of The Day, I Can Actually Say I Fed Giraffes!! I LOVE GIRAFFES!!

- Kevin AsuncionJune 28, 2012If you're trying to decide between the Point Defiance Zoo and the Woodland Park Zoo, go with Woodland Park.
- Josh WilliamsAugust 12, 2016Bring your kids here to wear them out, while enjoying the Seattle summer.
- Michael CioffiJuly 9, 2017Hardly any of the animals were out. It was disappointing to my little girl. And the pathways need some work. If you have mobility issues some of them can be tricky.
