- BrooklynMuseumDecember 11, 2009Staff Pick! Danny (Exhibitions): A hole-in-the-wall kitchen covering your Caribbean needs. I like to get the spicy jerk chicken and head over to the nearby park to enjoy.
- Joanna FlammJanuary 5, 2011Tiny restaurant, big flavor. My $10 jerk chicken with rice and peas was enough for at least two meals, nicely spicy and juicy tender.
- Monica LeslieNovember 24, 2015Cool atmosphere and nice service, it's slow, but it's BYOB so just drink a lot
- Emma PelznerOctober 21, 2011Best for takeout. Amazing food, low prices, large portions. Jerk chicken and goat are good bets.
- TraceSeptember 23, 2012Defintely order the escovitch fish. The pickled onions and carrots are deliciously spicy.
- Brad BensonJuly 23, 2011Best Caribbean food on the planet. Probably best restaurant in the area. Get the jerk chicken!
- Benjamin HaasJuly 17, 2010Get fifteen of your friends together and take over the upstairs. BYOB, and lots of it, because you'll be waiting a while. But it's worth the wait.
- Neely MooreOctober 27, 2011Call ahead to preorder even if you are dining in. Many dishes can only be made if you call ahead :)
- thecoffeebeanersOctober 26, 2011You have not been to Prospect Heights until you have tried The Islands' Jerk Chicken!
- Beat the crowd with free delivery for orders over $10. Not on seamless.
- KaydeeJanuary 28, 2018Awful service. Staff is oblivious to your presence. Arrived at 8:45pm. By 10:15pm had still not received any entrees.Finished our bottle of wine waiting. Do not recommend. Many better places in NYC.
- Pascal AntoineApril 22, 2010If there is a wait (and there probably will be) make sure you ask them for a complimentary soup! The wait will be worth it though.
