- Victor SegellAugust 25, 2014Classy décor with a british hunting cabin feel to it. Tasty drinks with flavours more to the strong and peppery side. Awesome back pateo that sadly closes quite early. Bring cash!
- On the GridNovember 21, 2016Order your favorite cocktail or one of the four on offer from the daily menu. Don’t let the casual attitude, vintage taxidermy or $4 High Lifes on the patio fool you – drinks here are taken seriously. Read more
- Alex StrausJune 22, 2014They have tequila Ocho! Best tequila in the world. Also a really good Mezcal called Pierde Almas. And best of all, you can make any drink spicy with this awesome Ancho Reyes.
- CASH ONLY. Besides that, hang out on the patio and share the table with other folks. Everyone is nice and will share. Mini bar outside too with good music. Inside gets a bit crammed though.
- Sandy HSeptember 13, 2014Seriously great bar...so nondescript from the street that you'd almost miss it. Built-in table top checkers & great cocktails. The whiskey mule is tasty.
- Small bar that's always completely packed in the winter, so come during summer to spill out onto the porch. Checkers boards in the booths inside if you happen to snag one!
- Cash only is a bummer but the patio is awesome. Drinks are a little too whiskey focused. They don't have a lot of cocktail variety.
- Bobby KennedyJanuary 11, 2015Small but creative list of cocktails. If those don't work for you, the bartenders know their stuff and can make anything you want.
- Weekly hangout. Good vibes, great drinks. Old fashioned is always on point.
- Shannon JeropkeJune 6, 2017Runner up for Bar of the Year presented by Hendrick's Gin, and runner up for Best Bar Family presented by Glenfiddich Scotch at the 2017 Time Out Chicago Bar Awards.
- It's classy with a dive bar feel. Bring your cash and order yourself the Sportsman's Cocktail. It will never disappoint.
- Léo Le BrunAugust 12, 2014Great classic cocktails. A Manhattan or Old Fashioned will only set you back $8.
- Get the "Low Life" with an amaro shot. $5. Can't beat that.
- Jillian BurnickasOctober 27, 2015I really don't see the appeal of this place. I've been there a few times and it just wasn't all that great.
- ChicagoistJanuary 15, 2015The fireplace is located outdoors and it's a toasty and popular spot for the constant crowds at this Humboldt Park cocktail palace. Warm up to the fire with a cup of something delicious. Read more
- Nikki ReischlNovember 21, 2016Overrated and overpriced. They sell a can of tecate with a shot of mezcal for $10. That doesn't take creativity.
