- Alex TsuMarch 9, 2017Soup dumplings among the best in NYC; surprisingly authentic flavors; great ambiance and service; portion sizes a bit too small; truly a blend of east and west; say hi to the dumpling artists :)
- diana🐇August 7, 2017good lunch deal- $19 for a main, dumplings, and vegetables. the soup dumplings, beef noodle soup, and spinach were good!
- DayeeDecember 8, 2018MUST come during happy hour!! Dumplings are half off, couldn't ask for anything better. Personally liked the vegetable dumplings better than the mushroom (also vegetarian) dumplings.
- MarcFebruary 16, 2017Former exec chef for Din Tai Fung; 3types of soup dumplings: pork, chx & seafood. Also has dan dan noodles, cumin ribs, Cantonese-style cod, & wind-sand chx (HK prep of roasted bird w/fried garlic)
- ClarissaApril 14, 2018Soup dumplings, taiwanese braised pork rice, taiwanese beef noodle soup, dan dan noodles are my faves. Come for bottomless brunch on the weekends, so fun! Lol
- Benazir MartinezFebruary 18, 2019The soup dumpling were delicious but that’s the first I have had them. Dan Dan noodles were too spicy it didn’t let me taste the rest of the dish. We also had the tofu in beef broth it was delicious.
- IrmaZandl ZandlSlantFebruary 9, 2018Love the space and the vibe and the dumplings are amazing. I was less impressed by their entrees. Next time I go I will make a meal of ALL of their dumplings, wontons etc.
- expensive but the xlb was incredible. also incredible? the ma po tofu and the sichuan string beans.
- StevenJune 25, 2017Soup dumplings are good. But the one to try are the mushroom dumplings! The flavour is amazing!
- Eric JaffeDecember 11, 2017Multiple orders of excellent soup dumplings. Duck rivaled only by that which I’ve had in Beijing.
- ArtemMarch 19, 2018I got the fried rice with vegetable dumpling lunch special to go. The dumplings were okay, but the fried rice was tasty. Overall, too expensive for what you get.
- Lots of organic and healthy-ish options. Get some soup dumplings, a fried rice, and the Taiwanese beef noodle soup
- Douglas WattersOctober 7, 2021Very strong NA cocktail list featuring Aplos, Acid League, Figlia, Ghia and Unified Ferments
- NathanOctober 2, 2017Must get the pork soup dumplings – the new best in NYC now that The Bao took them off their menu.
- Samantha YMarch 16, 2017I wasn't blown away by the soup dumplings but holy moly, the ma po tofu is bangin! Dan dan noodles have a nice kick to it.
- Amanda RellaOctober 29, 2018Happy hour is amazing deal. $5 soup dumplings and they are unreal! The seafood fried rice is also amazing.
- The soup dumplings are obviously AMAZING, but don't miss out on the chicken scallion noodles, ma po tofu, cumin ribs, and garlic eggplant! The wine list is transcendent... let Miguel show you the way.
- S AMarch 5, 2017Soup dumplings are the bomb. Executive chef used to work at Ding Tai Fung (google this if you don't know what this means). Expensive for small portions. Taste made up for the cost.
- Mabel SoJuly 22, 2019Love the eight treasures; vegetarian dish. Soup dumplings are great. Service is on and off though. Sometimes great but sometimes... I have empty glass of water for the whole meal
- Soup dumplings to try: Pork, Chicken and the shiitake mushrooms with truffles are great. The Three cups chicken, ribs and market vegs (we had pea shoots and eggplants) are great to share.
- Steo SJuly 3, 2019Nothing remarkable about this place a part for the incredibly rude staff. The host in particular should be fired. You can find much better Chinese restaurant anywhere in the city.
- Boon KohAugust 8, 2018Xiao Long Bao was expensive - and disappointing. The skin was too thick, and not enough soup inside.
- Tianqi LiaoNovember 7, 2017Would not visit again based on the noodle experience I had. The food tasted bland and undercooked
- Quan NguyenMarch 1, 2019Definitely the happy hour. Dumps aren't as good as other places but those ribs—don't leave without ordering some!
- Geng LiJuly 19, 2017Nothing special. One more overpriced hipster Chinese restaurant...they did not even try to invent some interesting dishes. Please go to the bao instead
