- Luis CastroMarch 23, 2015Coming from Barcelona, Spain. This place is nice. It might be the closest you will be to good tapas back in Spain. Which is nice. The sangria is really good I will give them that.
- Luke BornheimerSeptember 15, 2015The lunch special is an outstanding deal at $7.07 (after tax) for a sandwich and a side. The Vegetariana sandwich is delicious and filling; The stewed zucchini is a touch watery though well-seasoned.
- Christine RødeApril 7, 2016Best tapas I've had on this side of the Atlantic. The patatas braves are to die for, the paellas huge and delicious. If it's nice out, ask to sit on the back patio — it's lovely and romantic.
- Andrew ScheuermannJanuary 31, 2014A mariachi band came and played. The orange sauce is great! The combo plates are a great value. I got the garlic chicken which was good, but became overwhelming half way through. Good dish to share.
- Great for large groups. Get a pitcher of sangria. Also dig into the free bread with the yummy spicy red sauce. Also like garlic shrimp, lobster tail, and patatas bravas.
- Byron StanfordJune 9, 2017This place is amazing! Everything here tasted exactly as if you were eating at a bar in Madrid. Definitely get the peppers and the morcilla!
- Peter GazaryanNovember 19, 2016Very nice place. Parillada is great. Serves 2 people, Service was quiet fast and very nice. But - if you booked the table for 2 - you could be seated near restrooms.
- RamsenApril 25, 2014I've had a ton of patatas bravas and these are some of the best, easily. Including what I've tried in Barcelona. Every dish is fantastic here.
- Chicken croquettes, the sangria and all the tapas are to die for. Going to have to come back for the paella.
- Mindy YangApril 8, 2013The bread and sauce they serve you as an appetizer are delicious! Loved everything we ordered: grilled jumbo shrimp, spinach, pork kebabs, oysters, and especially the sangria.
- Anchovy-stuffed olives and patatas bravas are the best way to kick off a meal here. This is a fantastic second-date spot!
- Amazing sangria... Order by the pitchers. Paella was delish. From the tapas menu, try the garlic chicken and potato pancakes. Yum.
- Techmunch DissruptSeptember 5, 2017Paella, mariachis, sangria and even vegetarian options for my guests. Picaro Cafe has a little of everything!
- Try the Potatoes Bravas - #kvpinmybelly : Yummy garlic-y Romesco sauce. Kinda addicted to it. Paired with Clara. Flavored of Barcelona!
- Caroline WuFebruary 5, 2017A bit loud but cheap sangria carafes ($10) and tapas! Not the best food, I'd go for the croquettes and patatas bravas. Skip the calamari and garlic shrimp
- Come for lunch and enjoy the awesome "bocadillo de tortilla de patata" - fried calamari and manchego cheese are a must.
- Cristi ScheyeApril 12, 2015All the tapas and sangria are great. I especially liked the chorizo. Friendly service too!
- $10 carafes of sangria during happy hour and yummy tapas. My favorites are the potatoes with garlic aioli and the stewed zucchini.
- The Jamon Serrano en Pan con Tomate is delicious; the squid ink paella is the only one worth splurging for!
- Diego RomeroNovember 2, 2013A piece of Spain in SF! Sangria, pimientos del Padron, tortilla, garlic shrimp...just take your pick.
- My mouth is on garlic fire, and I love it. Best Spanish in San Francisco (a place with pretty bad Spanish food). This place is pretty authentic.
- Kevin YienJune 3, 2014Go on Monday for "paella night" which comes with sangria and dulce flan on-the-house!
- Suzanne PhanMarch 9, 2013Love their sangria. $10 for a carafe or $2.50 for a glass (during happy hour) . Lobster tail tapa is delish!,
- Anna JamesAugust 29, 2015Sangaria is legit. Bread with the Orange colored sauce tastes very good. Steamed mussels were a let down.
- Angela MillareMarch 23, 2013The orange dipping sauce goes with not just the bread, but with everything! So good!
- Can't go wrong w/ grilled oysters & calamaries; of course with sangria(;
- Best tapas in SF. Favorite are garlic shrimp, artichokes, and the potato omelette.
- Timothy HuntenMay 3, 2012Took 15 minutes to great, service was very slow afterwards as well. Other than that, the food was delicious, wine was great.
- Grub CrawlMarch 28, 2011Try anything and dip it in the orange sauce. It's better than the orange sauce from La Vic's in San Jose. www.grubcrawl.com
- PoojaMay 29, 2017Sunday night of memorial day weekend - overcrowded. Busy staff. Poor tapas - don't bother with croquettes, chorizo mini sausages or fried calamari - all were below average.
