- Riverfront TimesAugust 14, 2014The first full-scale authentically Spanish tapas bar in town in a long time is brash and fairly loud but also very good; even all the wines and cheeses are imported from Spain. Read more
- Khrystal K. DavisMarch 12, 2016This is our favorite restaurant in St. Louis. The tapas beats most in Barcelona. We were there for nearly two weeks, and only found two restaurants with tapas as good as Modesto.
- Riverfront TimesDecember 2, 2013Modesto is a truly Spanish tapas restaurant -- even the wines and cheeses are imported from Spain. Pop pinxtos like a stuffed Gordal olive with blue cheese and almond!

http://bit.ly/19RU96l - Great selection of Spanish wines-tell the server what you like and let him/her choose for you-they are quite knowledgable. Love the boquerones, pulpo, atun, and bunuelos. Get pudin de pan for dessert!
- Kate KeransJuly 14, 2010The chorizo y membrillo pintxo was awesome. Same with the Pan con tomate, queso and serrano ham. Tortilla espanola was good, not as eggy as some traditional tortillas but still pretty good!
- Riverfront TimesNovember 15, 2013Just because Modesto's "The Armada" has two ingredients in the glass doesn't mean it's boring.
http://bit.ly/1jaaoMs - I love Modesto - we eat here often - but the service has gotten tremendously slow and the wait time for food is worse. WTH.
