- Chelsea RenaudMay 10, 2016This is about as grungy as Park Slope gets, meaning it’s a tiny bit edgy but mostly clean. Come for the open-air space, stay for the beer selection and pinball machines. Bonus: they allow dogs.
- Jess NaldoJune 9, 2015Dogs and babies! Great selection of local and artisanal beers. Gets a little chilly inside the outdoor seating, but a nice laid back crowd and friendly bar staff. Kick back and just relax!
- Michelle CNovember 25, 2016Nice outdoor area with room for a large party. Mixed specialty drinks are okay - Cider Mill is the best. Biggest downside? No kitchen! Oaxaca Taqueria is across the street though so bring takeout.
- Paige CApril 22, 2016Fun bar! Very dog friendly and I love their outdoor space. I wish it was enclosed though. Order food from across the street at Oaxaca Taco!
- Quite probably the best spot for a beer in NYC. Amazing rotating taps and a fantastic rotating cask. Great tacos available across the street and dogs a-plenty hanging out. What more do you want?
- Craft beer bar from the guys behind Bar Great Harry and like BGH, it's canine-friendly. Play one of the best pinball games of all time: Attack From Mars!
- Afi Yellow-DukeOctober 16, 2015this does have a small courtyard, this isn't a beer garden. but it is a bar with a great beer selection, good hot toddies, cool decor, + games. and we got free desserts from someone's bday party! 🍰🍬
- Sissi NieJuly 26, 2017Pinball is incredibly hard, pickle juice for the pickle back is much too sweet (more gherkin than dill), but bar has a fun/chill vibe similar to Sweet and Vicious
- Kevin NewsumJune 24, 2016Delightfully eccentric craft beer selection, killer soundtrack, pinball and patio seating. What's not to love, really?
- Istvan LodorOctober 25, 2014Baby friendly, we bumped into a birthday party with at least 5 families with kids, and it worked out perfectly for us to take a break on a longer trip we were taking with my wife and daughter.
- First We FeastAugust 3, 2014This is the place to feel like you're spending time in the fresh air (or as "fresh" as it can be off of a major Brooklyn thoroughfare) without baking in the sun. Read more
- One of the best beer lists in New York, a nice outdoor courtyard, and of course dog friendly! Plus you can bring take out here.

- Brew YorkAugust 3, 2011A beautiful outdoor space, a great pinball machine, and most importantly, a carefully selected list of American and European beers. But ignore Thrillist's tip - it's NOT a "beer garden!"
- Excellent rotating beer menu. Hop from Mission Dolores to The Owl Farm and back again for all your beer needs.
- IrmaZandl ZandlSlantApril 20, 2015Love the vibe here but way too many dogs for my tastes. Saturday afternoon at least 20 dogs all barking and jumping on you.
- Joe LearmanJanuary 9, 2017Medieval Madness is the best pinball game of all time! Unfortunately the one here needs a bit of work (left troll doesn't work, and joust is broken), but it's still a blast to destroy a few castles.
- This bar here, this is the bar. Have a bloody if it's early. Drink a damned good beer. Feel good about your surroundings. Say hi to Crimson for me.
- Bartenders are always super cool and the people are generally well behaved, Compared to a dump like lavender lake
- Awesome bar with a great courtyard and tables in the shade. Pretty good beer list too.

- Great yard. Amazing beer. A little loud inside but the outside is always great.
- Fred CaminoAugust 11, 2014Cool bar with a nice outdoor space and good beer selection. Watch out for impromptu unsanctioned dog fights though. New Foursquare is not evil, just really really disappointing.
- CompassMay 20, 2014Walk through a narrow walkway and enter an old garage to get to Mission Dolores. Inside you’ll find a gorgeous glass ceilings and a pinball machine.

- Lali GaliciaMay 31, 2017Bartenders are such sweeties. Try the Grimm Artisanal Ale. -- it will your bff
- Cretious JMay 11, 2012It may not be kid friendly but it certainly is DOG friendly. Each bartender happily greets my dog and all allows her to drink from a doggie bowl on the bar.
