- EaterDecember 9, 2013Plenty of exposed brick, reclaimed wood, and soft lighting. Menu includes salads, crostini, charcuterie, and 10 pizzas. The Aggelatos Bros. are making all the mozzarella for their pizzas in house.Upvoted Oct 5
- Jess NaldoSeptember 22, 2015Damn you, Van Dammer and your beautiful brussel sprouts! Throw some soppressata on it, but not without also filling up on the burrata, octopus, and roasted vegetable appetizers first! So happy.
- funky flavorJune 3, 2016Very good meatball (only comes with 3 balls), meat platter was great to share and burrata, van dun was ok not the greatest tho. The best one wad the queen and the stun dun that one was far the best.
- Quite possibly the best pizza in Queens. The focus on high quality handmade and locally-sourced ingredients (some as local as the rooftop farm down the street!) really creates an exquisite experience!
- Roger RJune 3, 2016As advertised! Personal pizzas so you can get different ones and share. Burrata was nice but different from pics. Stun Dun was my favorite great combination of flavors. Quality ingredients make a dif.
- Go here every 2 weeks it seems. Tried alot but bests are - burrata, caesar salad, green bean salad, meatballs (a must must!), spicy soppressetta (w/ side meatball sauce), and cacio de pepe. All of it
- Try the Arugula pizza, with mushrooms added to the mix if that's something you'd be into. It's stellar. They also consistently have a delicious seasonal salad. Perfect starter.
- A good date spot and easily one of the best (if not the best) pizza places in Astoria. Had the superfly snuka (pineapple and speck make a great combo) and pomodoro (really enjoyed the no cheese)
- funky flavorJune 3, 2016Burrata (great!), meatball (3 balls come on order), meat platter (great to share). Pizzas - stun dun best pizza in this place so far, queen is a great pizza too. the Brussel sprouts was meh.
- Favorite fancy pizza spot in Astoria. Their Hawaiian pizza has paper thin sliced pineapple and hints of jalapeño. The spicy sopressata is also worth getting too.
- Michael HintzeAugust 19, 2016Definitely not to be missed, the pasta and pizza are great and the service is awesome. The hostess gave us free beer since the wait was longer than she thought.
- excellent wood-fired pizzas and seasonal small plates / salads. if it's on the menu, get the calzone. it's delicious and the accompanying sauce is perfect.
- Rachel IvyOctober 29, 2015The meatball appetizer is amazing, as is the octopus (super tender) and the string bean salad (bright and citrusy). Service is always above and beyond and they have excellent recommendations.
- Pizza is delicious! Fresh ingredients and innovative combinations. Cozy interior and great for a group or a date. Can't wait to go back.
- Victoria U.April 12, 2014Spicy Sopressata and Van Dammer are the way to go. Arugula is also great for some ruff age. Very relaxes with a great backyard
- James TroryFebruary 3, 2018Van Dammer and WuTang Clam are the best pizzas you'll find anywhere in NYC! The appetizers are also amazing. Staff and owner are all helpful and friendly, 10/10 restaurant imo
- The Wall Street JournalSeptember 26, 2013The wood-fired pizzas come with toppings such as oyster and shiitake mushrooms, spicy soppressata, red chili flakes and honey and Brussels sprouts, egg and truffle oil. Read more
- Having eaten here regularly since the very first weekend they were in business, I don't say this lightly - the Cherrystone Clam pizza is the finest one they've ever had on the menu. Just perfect.
- Tony XerriJuly 3, 2013Cozy. Unpretentious. And the brussel sprout pizza was nothing short of amazing. The meat and cheese combo is worth a try as well. A phenomenal addition to a growing neighborhood.
- Delicious neapolitan-style pizza (the Stunn Dunn is a standout; more like the Stunn YUM), tasty apps, appealing atmosphere. Great addition to a charming stretch of 31st Ave in Astoria.
- SH LingJuly 18, 2017The Van Damme (Brussel Sprouts, egg, truffle oil pizza) is absolute perfection. Super fresh ingredients, and crust bears resemblance to naan- that's a plus in my book.
- Gary PatFebruary 24, 2022Great place to enjoy wood fired fresh Pizza 🍕 and bruschettas with coke nice ambiance Great hospitality from server to
- Mari TalaiJuly 8, 2013Perfect pizza sizes and a great share for 2 as long as you get an appetizer or 2! Don't overlook the beets green pizza and always save room for dessert!
- Andrea D'AmbrosioApril 1, 2016Really good pizza! The meatball appetizer is amazing too. I highly recommend going here. Just try to go early, it gets very crowded very quickly
- Best original pizza in the neighborhood. Some call it artisanal, I call it finger lickin good. Meatballs and sauce here is a MUST! You're welcome.
- Serious EatsOctober 20, 2013Wood-fired pizza somewhere between New York- and Neapolitan-style, topped with excellent mozzarella made in-house in a warm, friendly space.
- Rudy G.December 1, 2016The best pizza in Queens. They also have delicious meatballs. Highly recommend it.
- Great pizza and space but bear in mind Milkflower is run by hipsters so it opens late and closes early. Plan accordingly; even call ahead to make sure they are open.
- spicy sopresatta add mushrooms, burrata appetizer and a bottle of wine. oh and don't pick your gelato flavors. just take what they give you.
- Brady HallOctober 13, 2020The best pizza in Queens. The emphasis on homemade and locally-sourced products of high quality really creates an excellent experience!
- The pizzas are great, but don’t sleep on the pastas. And get the ricotta as a dessert.
- Paolo BaroneApril 15, 2019A very good pizza indeed. Maybe not the very best in NYC but definitely solid
- Caitlin GJune 15, 2013Only beer, no wine or liquor. The wood fired pizzas are sized for one. Sauce was delicious, pizza is not overly cheesy. The grilled shishito peppers are amazing.
- This is by far the best pizza I've had. My favorites are the wu tang clam and ST the ghost with spicy sorpessata but the pasta is A1
- Evelyn LingJanuary 24, 2017Van dammer pizza was great! The crust is nice and airy. Chewiness factor 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
- Gabriel ChungApril 13, 2016Great artisanal pizzas here. The salads and meatballs were also very good.
- jasmin kaurMay 7, 2021Astoria's favourite fancy pizza spot. Always remember to leave room for dessert. I strongly advise you to visit this place.
- They have a nice wine selection now, in addition to the beer. Pizza is incredible, but get the burrata and/or the meatballs to start. Yuuuumm!
- victoria crumbleyMarch 5The pizza was so delicious and with so many flavor could choose that we even visited the pizza shop twice in the same day!
- Michael MajoueMay 4, 2014You cannot go wrong here. It's premium farm to table w/ slightly higher prices for the area because of said quality. I haven't left here without an ear to ear satisfied grin on my face, ever.
- So good. Everything we had was great- the pineapple caprese salad, sausage pizza, and Brussels sprouts pizza were standouts.
- Paolino BindiSeptember 3, 2015Pizza is awesome...(avoid the "parmesan" cheese on top...is not real Parmigiano reggiano cheese autentico, if you're a purist will ruin your pizza)
- Tracy MiscFebruary 7, 2020The Wu Tang Clam was delicious as was the ricotta and fig appetizer. Warrants all the neighborhood hype.
- Always on point. The shishito peppers, meatballs, and spicy soppressata pie are some of my go-tos
- Lauryn ShoremasAugust 22, 2013Incredible service and such compassion to vegans and people with food allergies! And a beautiful backyard to drink seltzer water in!!!
- Kerry LinderAugust 4, 2013Another excellent eatery in Astoria. Meatball appetizer and fire roasted peppers alone are worth the visit! Yay, Astoria!!!
