- Austin ChronicleSeptember 4, 2013Queen of Rainey St. Bridget Dunlap stakes a claim on the Eastside with this über-hip bistro. Brunch's fried chicken with maple ice cream is a surefire win; cut the sweet with a New York sour. Read more
- Rob ZaleskiFebruary 28, 2015Nice atmosphere for the same owners at Container Bar on Rainey. The Bloody Mary is legit, and the pork belly and kimchi sandwich will make you sing.
- Brian SpearsAugust 9, 2014I enjoy live music. But in a small restaurant with "mettle" walls (or some material equally sound-absorbent), it becomes a 2 hour meal of "huh?" & "what?". Come with folks you don't want to chat with.
- Emily CharltonSeptember 14, 2014Their beef tongue tacos are great! Everything on the plate is made from scratch. The drinks are also very good. One of my favorite places to grab a bite.
- Chris EdwardsJuly 16, 2013Slightly pretentious east side restaurant. The Beet dish was tasty if you like beets and is garnished with white chocolate. The grilled cheese has caramel in it. Who doesn't like a sweet/savory combo?
- Ryan AmiraultJune 9, 2013You can't go wrong with the burger or flatiron steak. Cocktails are on point, great wine list and some great local beers on tap too.
- April ThompsonDecember 20, 2014Pretty Pear cocktail is amazingly refreshing. Cerbois amagnac, lemon, and pear purée and sparkling wine.
- Brook ShelleyAugust 10, 2014Kind of a sleeper hit- it's out of the way, but I've had a few really stellar meals here. Loved the tongue tacos, and my friends were quite pleased with the chicken.
- Robert AlanísJune 29, 2013The service here is amazing. Our waitress was very friendly and gave great recommendations. The food is very inventive and tasty. I will definitely come back again.
- Darlene FiskeAugust 9, 2013French dip was outstanding as was the grilled cheese. In fact, everything that walked past our table looked delish!
- Laura FrankMarch 29, 2014The entire experience is beautiful. Space, service, ambiance...and the scallop crudo = best thing I've eaten 2014.
- Emily CharltonSeptember 5, 2014The cow tongue tacos are delicious. Definitely a great date place or for a group of friends.
- The best things r : the bread, awesome butter, service, atmosphere, the burger and the drinks :)
- Betty Cravens-CruzSeptember 27, 2013The deck is lovely. Great wines. Had a pork chop, Nomnom. Violet ice cream w/ toffee. Ms. B. Is a genius.
- April SuttonAugust 9, 2014The rhubarb julep and the side dish of beets with white chocolate (?!) are exquisite.
- Craig BallJuly 13, 2013Hilariously pretentious! Chef this. Chef that. Chef has giant birch-flavored (locally-sourced) stick up his ass. Comfort classics forgettably re-imagined. Desserts more like science projects. Pass.
- Shadd ScottJuly 4, 2013It was great! Hip setting. Lotsa room in and out. Friendly staff. Solid, artsy comfort grub.
- Sarah StuchberyMay 25, 2014Bar tender was on point, but other than that... Meh. Food was over priced, small portions, and frankly not very good. It is quite a bit pretentious and not for good reason.
- Kevin BOctober 15, 2013Slowest service I have ever had at a restaurant. We were there 4 almost 2 hrs. & the beef tongue tacos I ordered came out cold even after that. I'll go back, maybe the waitress was having a bad day...
- I don't think they understand the concept of a reservation. Made one and they simply said sorry we don't have a table for you. I was not even offered a complimentary drink.
- Rachel FieldsSeptember 15, 2013Ehh, expensive and not super impressed with the food. Probably wouldn't try this again.
