It's open 24 hours, so if you leave the bars at 4AM and still want pastrami this is your place. New York is amazing sometimes.

Pastrami is INSANE. Something everyone must try once in their life, even if only visiting NYC, and especially if living here.

Ahhhh, Katz's. Where Harry met Sally. And where we met pastrami. Giant piles of juicy brisket coated with spices and dripping with goodness barely held together by a couple of slices of rye bread.

In an interesting move, all of the combos are a worse deal than just getting the pastrami sandwich. The pastrami sandwich is great.

Hand sliced pastrami, put on rye bread, warm, fresh, and with a generous shmear of brown mustard. And of course, you've gotta have some sour pickles and a cream soda. It is a classic combo.

Not sure if there was mustard options but if they had French’s type, it could have beat Schwartz’s in Montreal. Heard a ghetto hack was to just come, sample their deli meats and walk out 😳

You could put that brown mustard in a glass and I would drink it 👌. Plenty of seating in the back around from the counters

Great Pastrami on Rye. Ask for it moist. Plus ask for pickled tomatoes and sour pickles too. The well done hot dogs are to best in NYC.

Pastrami is a masterpiece. I d suggest swiss cheese to add some other flavor to the sandwich ( it is a tough one to eat, not everyone's stomach can handle this meat) Pickles is a good sidekick.

We had super grumpy waitress that we were forced to tip twice - 20% incl, as we were warned bc we were 6, but then she chased us screaming we didn't tip her, so we did again. later we saw it was incl.

Katz's has been curing and hand-carving its own pastrami (ask for it moist) since 1888. The pastrami-on-rye is unbelievably filling. - Green Guide Editor

The experience is cool, but it's extremely crowded, the wait is long, the meat is fat (I couldn't finish) and $25 for a sandwich is expensive. It's worth doing at least once I guess, because it's FUN!

Good drunk food, but this place is over-priced and over-hyped. It will be hard to explain to your drunk friend why you both bought $25 sandwiches when there's a bodega down the street.
