- David CaballeroJune 23, 2013Great coffee and terrific pastries! Val, the owner, is extremely friendly and busy at making sure you enjoy every bit of your visit. They are also dog friendly - your pup will leave with a treat.
- This is a great German coffee House with authentic pastries & chocolates, strong coffee, good paninis and a wine bar. Sadly, people don't come for the menu but to see and be seen as entrepreneurs.
- Lukas GonzalezDecember 13, 2014Been here several times and not once has the owner greeted me. Along with his coffee, maybe he should begin his morning with a Boston Cream Cake. The pretty girl with colored eyes is always friendly!
- Huge glass pots of tea come over a tiny candle to keep it warm. So pretty, and you can sit for a long time. Great place to "work from home".
- Caroline GardnerFebruary 10, 2013Austrian cafe/wine bar. Amazing tea (get the pot), legit Austrian style sachertorte (chocolate cake), and a broad selection of German beers hard to find in the US. So happy I found this place!
- Matt McGunagleOctober 18, 2015Awesome spot. My top choice for working alone or meeting up with a friend for coffee in San Mateo.
- Andrew MarksDecember 24, 2014Really lovely interior, with lots of space to work. Good espresso. Get a pot of tea to share.
- Dave JensenMarch 17, 2018If you want old school thick foam 80s/90s style espresso drinks, then this is your place. If you want 3rd wave microfoam espresso drinks, not the place for you. It's your preference.
- Priyanka LOctober 6, 2013Its a big coffee joint, taste of coffee (Mocha and decaf.) Is flavorful and aromatic...it's a must go!
- Kartick SuriamoorthyAugust 1, 2013It is more than just coffee - try one of their sandwiches or their amazing selection of desserts ...
- David LimAugust 19, 2011Val the owner and his staff are always friendly. Great place to meet friends and hang out. A favorite spot for locals.
- David PanAugust 4, 2013Chill coffee shop with nice seating and free wifi. Outlets are limited in the back :(
- They are part of the 5 Stars network. Earn perks here with your purchases!
- Their pastries are killer. Hands down the best of any coffeehouse in area. Sandwiches are pricey, but can be split.
- VarunDecember 9, 2014Nice place to hang out. Not much of food options though, and limited plug points for charging.
- Low carb eaters: pretty much your only option here is the $1 hard boiled egg.
- Just added fab Croque Monsieur (grilled cheese, ham on artisan bread) for $4.25.
- The croissants are the best ones I have tasted outside of France. I am told they're made by a French guy living in the Bay Area.
