- MuratMay 21, 2019Located in downtown, close to UnionSq. Very big, 3 floors, spacious; great for events/groups. Staff/service is very nice. Food is great, steaks rock! Filet mignon is exceptional. Has a rich wine menu.
- Classic steak restaurant. I loved my ribeye but I expect they will do well with other cuts as well. Lovely sourdough reminds you that you are in San Francisco. Classic cocktails.
- Judye PhebusNovember 11, 2013The seafood manicotti is exceptional! My friend had fried oysters- my sample was delicious. Wonderful way to finish off the National REALTORS Convention! Claire and I give it 4 stars!Upvoted Sep 18
- Ayan SJuly 6, 2018Great thing to start with are the fried prawns, they’re not an appetizer, but if you just ask you can get as many as you want really quickly. Perfect way to satisfy your hunger :)
- Megan AllisonApril 14, 2018Lower your expectations a little, and enjoy a martini and the shrimp dijonnaise with a side of 1920's charm.
- Megan IrvineApril 18, 2012This was very cool. In an historic building, serves classic steak and seafood. Excellent service, and The Maltese Falcon lives upstairs.
- J JohnDecember 25, 2022Good quality steaks and seafood, and excellent early 1900’s ambiance. A bit overpriced but it’s a legacy business and it’s in Union Square.
- Daniela GiacobboJuly 17, 2016Excellent steaks and seafood! It's very traditional in San Francisco, since 1908! Simple the best!!
- Ricky SherrillFebruary 13, 2016A classic restaurant the delivers every time. Good food along with a comfortable environment makes for a fun evening.
- heathr goldNovember 22, 2015Loved the old times bone but not the food. Both lobster ravioli app and gristly prime rib weren't finish able. I'd pass for the many good places in town worth the money.
- Ilias KonstantinidisOctober 14, 2016Best Clam Chowder ever, excellent Crab Louie salad and amazing Lamb Chops.
- Thomas L.February 11, 2018Old school steaks and seafood. Don't look for molecular gastronomy here just some protein, a baked potato and seasonal vegetables.
- M KJune 23, 2018Quaint and historic, maintaining ‘Maltese Falcon’ charm. Worth a beer at the bar, good draft selection
- LilySeptember 14, 2014A classic. Get the oysters and a couple of martinis. It's tight quarters in here though so make a reservation.
- Olga💋 Marmun.ru💋September 24, 2012Everything's fine! Tasteful food, live jazz! Special thanks for seafood pasta!! :) Restoran with great history! Open since 1908.
- Mary Ann L.April 15, 2013The Jack LaLanne salad is amazing!! And so was the seafood cannelloni. Randomly found this restaurant and it was well worth the price.
- Megan IrvineApril 18, 2012This was very cool. In an historic building, serves classic steak and seafood. Excellent service, and The Maltese Falcon.
- Konstantin ZobovJanuary 11, 2020Grilled salmon was ok except the mashed potatoes on the side. Fisherman’s pasta - the case where pasta and source are much better than the added seafood. Cannelloni - not good. Shrimp Loue - just ok.
- Andrew GumSeptember 17, 2012The reviews for the food were awful and scared us off. We had an excellent experience at the bar. The classic atmosphere was really nice.
- Kevin CourtneyOctober 3, 2012Ribeye cut a little thin and not on the bone. Try the porterhouse. Nice Cesar salad. Matt was very accommodating
- Matt FMarch 22, 2019Just get a steak. It's what you want. The filet was legitimately medium rare, as ordered.
- James PartonSeptember 19, 2010Great T-Bone, the peppercorn sauce is good as well. Don't bother with coffee, only fliter on offer. Very popular. We had a 30 min wait to get a table.
- Diane PondDecember 14, 2018Halibut and clam chowder, John and mom recommend rib eye and New York strop
- Mignon SpearmanSeptember 1, 2011Our server Mark (from New Iberia) was fantastic. Food was delicious, service great, wonderful atmosphere.
- Henrik RasmussenSeptember 21, 2022Tried to trick us on wine, served requested Med Rare beef as Well done. Incompetent staff
- John CoyneMay 26, 2014One would think seafood crepes that cost $27 would have chunks of fresh seafood, not a microwaved paste. Tastey, but not on par with the price for a coastal city.
- Be sure to try the Jack Lalane Salad; fantastic, with dungeness crab, shrimp, avocado and more. And the chocolate mousse is terrific.
- Diane PondDecember 14, 2018Waiter recommended Stewart Chardonnay, said it was Oaked but it tasted too sweet and similar to a cheaper Chardonnay like sutter home not a fan
