- Ryan PottsApril 11, 2011Fantastic happy hour specials and a cozy back room with sofas and book lined walls. Also, foosball , arcade games and beer pong. Dense and rowdy college crowd on weekends and late nights. Very relaxed
- Nina DaxFebruary 23, 2012A great place to play beer pong and feel like you're back in college again. My best suggestion is going during drink specials and trying to get a seat in the back library room. So much quieter!
- Amazing deals every night of the week! Tables fill up quickly on the weekends for watching sports
- Andrew CMay 17, 2016Nice and chill dive bar... Not trashy or dumpy (like the other bar they own, 13th Step)!! Decent prices and draft beer selection too
- Until 8pm every day- 3 dollars for craft beers, 2.50 for shots. I have yet to find a cheaper bar in NYC. Not somewhere I'd go to meet new people, but fun to get a group together for some day drinking.
- Are the beer pong tables all filled up? Why not try the Gin Mill just a few steps north? All the way in the back are some tables that usually have shorter lines than Jake's!
- Check out their back room, a cozy space with armchairs and bookshelves, which is perfect for parties and small gatherings!
- Kristi EvansOctober 11, 2011I love this bar! Great classic rock music, friendly service, drink specials every night and plenty of space to spread out. Nabe fave!
- A L E XFebruary 10, 2015Bar is very bro-ish. The service is friendly. Beer section is not that large. A "general bar".
- Xavier HarrisonMarch 16, 2013Great place but I don't like the new rules. You can't wear timberland boots, can't wear a certain attire and you can't wear headphones even on a phone call. It blows when your a paying customer.
- New York HabitatFebruary 25, 2014This is a popular bar with great music, food and also beer pong tables for your entertainment!
- Jacob DavidJune 2, 2018Great spot for sitting outside and idling away a Friday night. Great deal for pitchers only $10 until 8 PM.
- JPNovember 13, 2015Another typical bar with decent happy hour specials. Beer pong, flip cup, and all the things to relive your college years
- Greg Y.July 17, 2012Some of the best prices in NY. $2.50 happy hour beer, $1 on Mondays, $4 you call it Weds... Living room is pretty classy for a "dive bar"
- The Corcoran GroupApril 30, 2012Happy Hour here is from 3-8pm and everything is half price - on top of the everyday daily specials!
- Judah RichardsonNovember 19, 2012Arrive early (and bring 2 teams) if you wanna play beer pong, otherwise you'll either be out of a table or forced to play people you don't wanna hang with
- Conrad Greiner-BechertMay 9, 2017The best of several terrible options available on the UWS if you insist on going out in this neck of the woods. At least they didn't charge for my pineapple juice & soda water mix.
- Celeste OlivieriSeptember 25, 2012Great music and friendly atmosphere! Ask Jake if you want some good live-music venues recommendations in Manhattan, he rocks!
- Onur Kenneth YumurtaciAugust 26, 2016College bar where drinks are always cheap, great service and great social customers.
- Caity PrunkaJuly 7, 2012The bartenders and bouncers are the MOST fun anywhere. Be sure not to just ask for "a shot", you'll get warm house gin-- and deserve it.
- Gennady BarskyFebruary 19, 2016There's a pool table, and it's a very open bar. I enjoyed my friend's birthday here.
- Jessica PlacenciaJanuary 16, 2016Beer pong, cheap shots good for a casual night with a group of friends.
- One of the cheapest bars in NYC. Half off everything till 8p daily. ($6.50 pitchers), then nightly specials. Good times.
- Alex Lazo VasquezJanuary 11, 2015Good prices for beer and shots. Worth going in to warm up and play some beer pong
- Kung-Fu JoeOctober 6, 2011Slider burgers topped with fried mac'n cheese, plus they have a living room to sit and enjoy. WORD!!!
- Ian KaysAugust 22, 2014Nothing wrong with sitting outside drinking picklebacks on a nice summer day.
- ChristinaDecember 30, 2014The "healthy option" is a great choice if you have about 10,000 calories to spare.
- If you walk in and the place is empty & quiet. Get in and grab a table. If it's crowded and loud...find another bar. Seriously!
- Wednesday's are best for sure: $3 you-call-it's any shot, mixed drink or beer is just $3!
- Frank EspositoDecember 28, 2011The living room in the back is awesome if you're there with a bunch of friends.
- Beer pong and 9 dollar pitchers on Tuesday. What else could you want?
- Best place for happy hour. Wings are good too.
- The physical bar is too low and it throws the whole place off. Minor detail , still a great place to party with friends.
