    How to save money at The Getty: Catch the bus to here and bring plenty of Cliff Bars. Or come on Saturday after 5pm (parking is free then) but still bring the Cliff Bars.

    Rainy days are the best to see everything gloss and shine or just after a good rain for clear views across LA. Umbrellas are provided for you at the front.

    Avoid going to the Getty during the weekend. Best time to visit is from Tuesday to Thursday. The museum is closed on Monday. The Central Garden is closed until mid-May.

    Last time I was there I discovered that you can bring your own or buy a bottle of wine at the cafe and enjoy it out on the lawn. A great spot for a romantic afternoon! Read more

    Be sure to eat in the Cafe. Food is amazing and very cheap. Portion size is great, you will not leave hungry.

    An excellent romantic place to bring a date on a Saturday night, they are open till 9 pm and there are ample places to watch the sunset from.

    Saturdays after five are awesome! Free parking, you don't have to pay the $15! Stays open till night and make sure to bring a camera. Be sure to see the outdoor stuff first if you go after 5.
