- Lacy HadenApril 5, 2013Didn't stay at the Hotel but stayed in town. Walked around Hotel Colorado! Loved the history! Walk all the way upstairs to see all the famous assigned rooms!Upvoted Sep 29
- HISTORYSeptember 20, 2010The Hotel Colorado opened in 1893 to a program including a fireworks display, an orchestra in the ballroom and dining at midnight. This hotel was designed to replicate the Villa de Medici.
- If you don't want to pay for the breakfast buffet, hit up the coffee/muffin shop on the west side of the lobby. Cereals, oatmeal, breakfast burritos... Affordable!
- Sarah KingJuly 10, 2014Im happy to report I had a nice hot shower in this morning. true theres no ac, but not as bad as expected. might be only bcI was sleeping solo! Keep that in mind if you plan on doing a summer visit!
- Mindy AltermattMarch 22, 2014This is a beautiful historic hotel! Creaky floors and squeaky doors remind you of its age. And if that doesn't, the lack of outlets to charge electronic devices will.
- RichardMay 21, 2011The food they serve is fabulous. However, beds are rock hard, showers are cold, and finding an outlet to plug in anything is a challenge.
- Chuck SampsonSeptember 6, 2010Such a wonderful old hotel with charm and much history. Unfortunately the service was abysmal and the cold shower on the morning we left insured we will never return.
- Melissa LundJanuary 29, 2012No parking & cold showers! New boiler should help, but I probably won't come back. Just sayin.
