- Nicole BrownerDecember 31, 2017Hands down my favorite Mexican food in the Mission. They serve fresh ingredients and an amazing house made salsa bar. The service and staff are the kindest people. I’ve been going for years!!!
- Jonathan WNovember 3, 2016Their super fish burrito *may* be my most favorite burrito in San Francisco. Get it super (guacamole, sour cream, cheese), black beans, no rice, dorado (extra time on the grill) style.Upvoted Aug 29
- PeterJune 1, 2015ok - the fish burrito is a must have and a nice change. friendly staff. chips included and the place looks great (inside and outside). $7.50 for a delicious burrito incl tax is a good deal.
- Mike WinstonOctober 21, 2016Must get the fish burrito. It's loaded up with light, flaky, tender white fish and all of the usually burrito fixings. Great flavors, cheap price, and very filling. WinstonWanders.com
- Ron PMarch 24, 2016Will return to try the super fish burrito. The regular fish burrito was not that flavorful. I'll have to try the super fish burrito in all fairness. I'll update the tip.
- Carnitas is flavorful here and doesn’t have the nasty boiled looked / texture that you get at El Faralito and other Mission burrito places.
- Maroun NajjarFebruary 23, 2013I've had a lot of burritos in my day. From the best in Boston and NYC nothing compares to this. Everything is so fresh and full of flavor. Get the carnitas burrito and thank me afterwards.
- Perhaps the best Mexican food in the City. House made chips make for great nachos and the burritos can't be beat.
- Vanessa RodriguezJune 12, 2019Had a bangin' milanesa torta that comes with a small side of chicken tortilla soup. They have a salsa bar with a must try cantaloupe salsa. Everything tastes fresh and delicious.
- Luke BornheimerJune 18, 2013One of the first veggie burritos I've had in SF with more veggies than just salsa and lettuce. Seriously delicious and filling for only $7!
- Nicole RocchioJanuary 10, 2019Chile verde taco was tasty, very well done. The chicken quesadilla was very large but amazing! Don’t forget to check out the salsa bar in the seating area.
- In my opinion this place has the best vegetarian burritos in the mission. For meat burritos there are better options on 24th but if you are vegetarian this is your best bet.
- RoseJune 27, 2014We went right at lunch time and it was super crowded and took about 30 minutes to get our food. But as soon as I bit into my torta a la mexicana I didn't care about the wait. The food was delicious.
- Brad TFebruary 3, 2017Authentic Mexican with a great selection of salsas and a few beers on hand. Try the El Pastor carnitas tacos for the ultimate experience.
- T SripunJanuary 26, 2015The most delicious quesadilla crisp to perfection. Hands down the best I've ever had in Mission. Portions are excellent. I eat it for lunch+dinner!
- Adnan ManjalJuly 11, 2016Amaaaaizing food. The Burritos are excellent. So are the Enchiladas and Quesadillas. The complimentary guacamole is fantastic too. Order everything.
- Irene ChouOctober 23, 2012The place that made me realize I know nothing about Mexican cuisine. Whatdya mean, carrots and broccoli can be good in burritos!? Aka best veggie burrito in the area.
- Sarah LizSeptember 27, 2017Tacos, enchiladas, double fried chips, salas bar and horchata. This place surprised me.
- Their carne asada super burrito has different cheese (cotija?) and ratios than most other mission burritos. Worth making the trek for.
- Special mole (chicken) with beans and tortillas. No rice as requested.
- Maya ShanmugamJuly 30, 2016One of the lesser frequented Mexican joints, nonetheless great food + lots of seating
- Summer in SF sometimes means having a nice hot bowl of Pozole! 😋
- Grace S.November 22, 2015Good tightly rolled burrito - gonna pass on the Carnitas next time - a bit too pig lard-y for my taste but could see other people really liking it!
- Bennett W WongAugust 22, 2017The pork tacos, side rice and tortilla chips are delicious. Delicious food and excellent service.
- Pei 👻 WenJanuary 30, 2017After trying vegetarian burritos all over the city, this place has the best.
- Excellent chile verde and a very tightly wrapped burrito.
- Get the green salsa with the onions in it. Tasty and spicy!
- BediJanuary 9, 2016So much food. Portions are huge. Price, resasonable. Taste, good. Visit here again? Yes.
- at $5 (+$1 for cheese, sour cream, guacamole), El Metate has the most reasonably priced fish burrito in town - and quite tasty too.
- Super burritos are good. Horchata is great. Chips are surprisingly good too.
- grilled veggie burrito w fresh mango salsa (avail in the salsa bar) is the bomb!!
- Lily GompertsAugust 23, 2016Everything is amazing, but I love the quesadillas. Salsa bar has excellent options
- It's a good place if you want to sit down - for once - while eating Mexican food.
- Grilled Chicken Burrito w/refried beans and cheese only and a cup of Horchata is like a slice of sexy heaven when you are seriously hankering for goodness or drunk or high or anytime for that matter!
- Quesadillas with.chicken are the best food we stay order ever time we stop by by the way NACHO with steak, OMG!!!! One word DELICIOUS
- Josh PylesNovember 12, 2015Really great burritos. A little smaller than your typical Mission burrito.
- Brendan NeeFebruary 1, 2015The vegetarian burritos, quesadillas and nachos have legitimate veggies in them. Good stuff.
- The mole here is the best! I recommend the mole burrito!
- The flour chips are amazing. Ask for them but they usually say no. What gives?
- Susan LohJanuary 17, 2013This was my first love when it comes to Mission taquerias. No frills. Straight up carne asada burrito.
