- SheliaSeptember 27, 2016Very unique hotel and complex which offers plenty to do. The Trolley ride and Model Railroad Museum are great. The Station House with singing servers was well worth the cost. We will return someday.Upvoted Oct 3
- Grace HeneghanyAugust 19, 2016I liked the entrance in the old train station. It is magnificent. The whole idea is really cool of bringing an old train station back to life. The pools are pretty and the food at the gardens was good
- Joel BasbeDecember 1, 2015Great hotel for for family fun. The Trolley and the driver were very infromative about history of the Choo Choo. Plenty of food outlets especially the Station House with singing servers! Will be back
- DonMay 20, 2016Had a great time!!! Hotel needs some work on the rooms but overall nice place!! Lots to do restaurants, aquarium, nightlife, music!!! Lots of shopping places, train ride, very historical place!!
- MarketOctober 19, 2015Stayed here several times in the past but this time we decided to stay the weekend in one of the passenger railcars. Enjoyed our stay and our evening walks along the gardens and gas lit lanterns.
- Rolae TOctober 23, 2015We just returned from a weekend getaway to see a concert in Chattanooga, and our accommodations were at this historic hotel in a train car. we were pleasantly surprised by this gem of a property
- CourtneyMarch 28, 2016I was glad I got to visit such a historic hotel. I arrived early and was allowed a early check in. My room was clean spacious and comfortable. I quickly learned my way around the property.
- AllieSouthNovember 18, 2015It is a wonderful experience to stay in the old train cars and Chattanooga is certainly worth a trip. The aquarium is second to none - and I have seen many.
- LacySeptember 13, 2016The hotel is conveniently located in the Downtown area. Overall atmosphere and environment is very impressive, there were lots of activities around. Overall it was a worth a trip!
- MaryAugust 29, 2016It is a great resort. The station has been updated into a grand hotel lobby with a restaurant and bar and the rail car as hotel rooms was a brilliant idea.
- Ken QuinethFebruary 12, 2016We stayed in the train car and had so much fun! The rooms are old, but they are true to character of an old train car. The gardens are very pretty
- Rhetta AkamatsuJune 23, 2013Fun free thing to do in Chattanooga..see the lobby, which was the original depot, then step out into the gardens and see the trains. The model railroad museum is only $4 a ticket
- Melissa MJune 3, 2018The oversized chess and checkers and other games in the back near the gardens can be fun to play while walking around that area of Chattanooga.
- Christina ChinMarch 4, 2017Didn't stay here, but checked out the train, souvenir shops, and the place has done nice bars and comedy club..would check it out again
- Andy StricklandAugust 21, 2016Check out the train, a few stores, a night club. Play outdoor chess and checkers, walk the gardens.
- Vincent JohnsonNovember 23, 2013Sleep in a train car that's a hotel room on the old tracks. Station is the lobby. Ride the electric trolley and see the Chattanooga Steam train, plus a kick ass model railroad.
- Andy StricklandAugust 21, 2016Check out the train, a few stores, night club. Play outdoor chess and checkers, walk the gardens.
- K. DobkinsOctober 31, 2016Lovely grounds. Outside pool good but overlooked by old gruel breeze lock type apartments. Nice indoor pool too. Gifts shops available.
- Ruth YeloniDecember 8, 2015They were a comfortable place to end our day. tony at the front desk was very nice and knowledgeable as well.
- DorisFebruary 19, 2016The Choo Choo is a great place to visit. Our stay was more than I expected, combining history with convenience and comfort
- 3 swimming pools. Awesome scenic garden. The lobby under the dome is incredible!
- CoreyNovember 24, 2012You can get a room here on Priceline for $53. It's worth $53. You'll be disappointed if you pay the reg rate which is over $100. It's dated. Free shuttle to downtown leaves every 5 minutes.
- The whole experience here is great. The food is excellent and the service in the restaurants and hotel has been superb.
- Marcy HainsworthMay 15, 2014If you don't want to stay. Just walk in and eat at The Garden restaurant. The lobby is cool.
- Vincent JohnsonNovember 13, 2013Book rooms through a site like Expedia or Orbitz. Saved $40 on train car room over reserving it through the Hotel's web site.
- Wendy GMarch 17, 2013The train cars are actual hotel rooms! Free shuttle will get you here from most anywhere downtown.
- Ed EubanksJuly 22, 2015The lobby is beautiful. We didn't stay in one of the train cars, which look quaint— the rooms feel a bit like an aging Holiday Inn. Not bad, but far from@luxurious.
- Sloan BowmanMarch 12, 2011If bringing kids make sure to book a package on the website, well worth the time. Rooms are dated but staying in the train cars is too cool.
- Lisa BeckNovember 14, 2012Stay at least one night in the Victorian train car just to say you did it. Friendly staff.
- Crystal MeltonMarch 3, 2013Kitschy historical attraction, with food options and little shops, but a long outdoors haul to the hotel buildings. Room felt like a rundown interstate motel, with no sound proofing. Needs renovation.
- If you stay in building 3 make sure you ask them to put you in a room closest to the front office. Wireless doesn't work on far side of building well if at all.
- As a staff member I want to thank all the guests. Yall make my day when im at work. Come by and see me sometime!
- Ryan HallJuly 19, 2011Park free at the hotel and rid the shuttle downtown. Comes every 5 mins. Save gas, time, and money!
- Justin KronmeyerAugust 1, 2012Double check your hotel room to make sure it's clean. This place and old and moldy. Some of the nearby areas are unsafe. I feel dirtier after I get out of the shower here!
- Tim McAdaJanuary 28, 2015Depends on where you stay. Grounds and lobby are nice. Stayed in a hotel room, not a train car, and the room was nothing special. Quiet, bed was HARD.
- Pallie ThompsonJuly 18, 2010Really a fun place to go! Book one of the packages on their website if you have children. Well worth it!
- Jeff DelormeApril 23, 2017This could be a terrific place to bring tourists into Chattanooga. EVERYTHING is run down, and not Maintained. We were the only 2 people staying in the entire hotel. Dirty room, did not stay
- You can call security and they'll give you a ride from your Hotel to anywhere on the property. Read more
