About the Show
The New York Times
An irresistible play from the most peculiar of fictitious premises - an underemployed Los Angeles actor goes to work in Barbra Streisand’s Malibu basement - allowing the playwright to ruminate with delicious wit and perspicacity on the solitude of celebrity, and the melancholy that lurks beneath narcissism.
World Premiere Produced By Rattlestick Playwrights Theater.

History of the Greenwich House
Greenwich House First Opened Its Doors On Thanksgiving Day in 1902 with the Mission to Improve the Living Conditions Among the Predominately Immigrant Population in Greenwich Village
At that time New York's most congested neighborhood. Mary Kingsbury Simkhovitch, Jacob Riis, Carl Schurz, Felix Adler and other social reformers came together to help immigrants adjust to a new world and improve the quality of life in the community.
For Over a Century, Greenwich House Has Strived to Contemporize the Vision of Mary Kingsbury Simkhovitch By Being Responsive to New and Growing Complexities of Urban Life.
The House has offered continuity to its neighbors by sustaining its Music School and Pottery along with social services which have proven to be of persistent need and value. In recent history, through private and public funding Greenwich House has been implementing new programs such as the Barrow Street Nursery School; the After-school and Summer Arts Camp; Children’s Safety Project, a treatment and prevention program for children and families, providing therapy to help overcome the aftermath of physical or sexual abuse, domestic violence or other violent crimes; Senior Health and Consultation Center, a one-of-a-kind program providing in-home physical and mental health services to individuals over the age of 60; Greenwich House Senior Centers, four senior centers in lower Manhattan that provide daily hot meals and cultural actives, as well as case management and daily money management; and the Chemical Dependency and Methadone Maintenance Treatment Programs, making New York a healthier and more vibrant community.

Testimonial
Time Out New York
Despite the extensive wine list, A.O.C.'s initials stem not from the appellation system but from the title of a popular French gastro-film, L'Aile ou la Cuisse (The Wing or the Thigh) . You'll find an extensive menu of quotidians, from breakfast and lunch (pastries, croque-monsieur) to dinner (duck confit, moules frites) . Chef Romain Bonnans rejects culinary arcobatics and relies on the pure and simple: One taste of his salmon tartare in a mélange of fresh cucumber, tomato and capers shows you why. Hanger steak is refined by a sause of white wine, shallots and port. The disarming staff evokes Paris without pretense.
