- What a great hotel - amazing service and rooms. Get to know your fellow guests with free wine 5-6 p.m. Convenient for the F-line historic streetcar. Hire bikes next-door and cycle the bridge.Upvoted Sep 1
- Sherry ShularJune 12, 2016Love this old hotel!! It has a lot of exposed beams & brick. Very nice place. Very clean rooms. Great views of the bay!! Loved our stay!!
- Julia 🌴September 17, 2012Room 453 has an awesome view of Alcatraz. You can crank out the window and hear the street musicians from your room. Don't miss the free wine in the lobby from 5-6p at all Kimpton properties.Upvoted Sep 2
- Brooke BonwellAugust 12, 2017We love staying here. It's in a great location to the wharf and the cable cars. The concierge always has really good recommendations and the staff is very friendly. Try the Blue Mermaid next door!
- Super amazing hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, pet friendly. Couldn't bring your furry friend with you? Ask for a fish to keep you company during your stay. This is Marvin!
- Aari LudvigsenAugust 6, 2013Great design, comfy beds. Arrival toy & scavenger hunt with prize for kids in the lobby. Wii in the lobby! Toys & treats for pets. Free cocktail hour. Friendly staff. Virtual photo booth in lobby.

- Dana AllenApril 8, 2013The nautical theme is a bit overwhelming for me but rooms are comfy, good water pressure in shower & plenty of outlets for us frequent travelers! Great location along the Bay & close to Embarcadero.
- AlesiaNovember 3, 2017The location is great and it has a good restaurant on site. The rooms are a little small with thin walls but good for a weekend stay.
- Комманданте ЧЕFebruary 28, 2013Continental Breakfast sucks - only teo choices and both do not include anything good or big enough to keep you in good shape till lunch. In all other aspects - this is a fantastic hotel:)
- Lindsay RoseJune 1, 2014Beautiful, great location, doorman, historic, very clean, comfortable beds, classy/upscale, unique/pretty nautical/brick theme in rooms.
- We loved our stay here. Keep in mind that the only view the inner (even #) rooms offer is the courtyard which is basically a cream colored cement box.
- Khalifa Al DhaheriFebruary 4, 2015Great hotel to stay in while visiting San Francisco.. Located in Fishermen's Wharf
- Ben RawitzMay 26, 2017Great location if you're coming into San Francisco as a tourist. Really clean and easy. Plus a great gym
- Kendra ClevelandJanuary 23, 2019It’s worth spending time at, so order wine at the wine bar attached and have it delivered over.
- Kari PettitOctober 7, 2015Location is excellent. Not sure if it is worth the price though. Even though the website says it, they don't have the wine hour anymore. They also don't have microwaves in the room.
- Really nice, spacious room. Clean. Right on Fisherman’s Wharf.
- Right on the strip in the fisherman a wharf close to everything
- Justin StephensDecember 27, 2011Great rooms! Love our 3rd floor king deluxe suit. Will stay here on our next trip to San Fran.
- Colin AyerFebruary 26, 2013Lovely boutique hotel near the waterfront and close to one end of a trolley route...
- Simon MorrisFebruary 4, 2012Alarm clocks still can go off even if you unplug them, be sure to smash yours in to bits or throw it into the bay
- Cherie MannMarch 14, 2011Pet friendly and people friendly. Food at mermaid is excellent. Take cable car from Hyde St. Awesome views.
- MohamedOctober 31, 2015If you will park your car at the hotel they will charge you around 65 dollar per day "4x4"
- Totally family friendly. Scavenger hunt, hot chocolate bar, and apple cider for the kids.
- Mat HillJanuary 12, 2017Was much better when it was a Kimpton property with happy hour and extras. Now it's just, meh. Good location for tourists, but not much else. Hell to find a taxi or uber in the morning.
- Bryn GriffithsNovember 25, 2010great location, next to Cablecar turnaround, next to "the wharf", next to streetcar stops and The Mermaid restaurant is very good. Enjoy!
- John GreenlandJanuary 1, 2012Best hotel experience ever!!! Room 334 new year eve 2011-12. Thank you for everything!
- Katie BaerApril 12, 2012LOVED it here! Everyone is so nice including the doorman (not sure of his name)
- Aari LudvigsenAugust 6, 2013Room a bit stuffy & lack of view disappointing, expensive for size, but food good both delivery & @Mermaid. Noise from room above transfers down more than expected. Overall we are pleased.
- ブルーノAugust 17, 2013AVOID room 212. It's below the street level, and all you can see from your window is people's feet.
- Beware: we found a roach in our room on our last night. Fun!
- Kavita BJune 4, 2012Room 365 : not renovated yet , old sink , no pressure in shower , empty body wash bottle, seems accessible room which was given as upgrade by calling it a bigger room - disappointing .....
- Peter HoffAugust 24, 2010Check in during the month of August 2010, and say the word “Popsicle” at check-in. They’ll have a surprise for you!
