Zona's a hip, classy gem on the Danube. Excellent food & wine overall. Service is attentive and swift. The amberjack with cold watermelon soup + artichoke was refreshing and unique, a must-try dish!
Ask for Tomas. He’s the most handsome and the food is delicious. The surf and turf. The service. They speak English very well. Our whole family went here and they were very accommodating. Will be back
My favorite restaurant in Budapest, loved the vegetarisch burger and the fish and chips. They serve delicious homemade lemonade! I would recommend it to everyone
Beautiful view from some seatings, but not suitable for groups of larger than 6: employees were reluctant to rearrange tables to our needs for a group of 12, so we had to dine in two groups.
High-end restaurants with more than 200 kinds of Hungarian and foreign wines. Special wines promoted each month with wine tastings and a guest brewer to introduce their work.
Best value 3 courses fine dining lunch menu for approx. 13 eur including water and bread! Nice location between the Chain bridge and the Castle on the Buda side, don't miss it!
Very snobby and posh place from a trendsetter restaurateur. The chef is well known for microscopic sized dishes and yes he did it again. On the bright side nice view over Danube and good sommelier
Service was really impolite. I asked if they have cabernet sauvignon and the waiter said they do. He brought a glass of wine without telling me about the wine, showing the bottle, giving some to taste
IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to construction works the whole street has been closed, and will remain so until the end of Summer, so ZONA can be only reached by walk, bicycle or taxi.
Veggie burger was brilliant, loved the interior and location, but the service was a bit dull, slow and chaotic. Seemed a bit expensive for Budapest?? but I guess you pay for the view as well.
Very unfriendly staff, came in with the idea of ordering some foos. After the first contact with the staff we didn't fee like 'supporting' them as it felt that they looked down at 'simple tourists'
***Warning*** Ugly trick: 12,5% tip is included but it’s in the middle of the bill and in Hungarian (szervizdij). Don’t tip twice! Food+location are great, small portions, price is high but still OK.
Unfortunately we were unable to have lunch as the place was shut despite their web page saying they were open on Mondays. Please update your website!!!
Incredible expensive! Two beer 3 400 ft!!! Almost 400 Ft service charge! Why? There are no more than 8 steps from the bar to the al fresco table. I do not offer this restaurant! Brrrrr....
Tricky bill. Watch out your check. For some very funny reason they hide the service charge, by not putting on the bottom of the bill but somewhere in the middle of the list, which makes me wonder why!
The menu states in small writing that a 12.5% service charge is added to the bill. I didn't notice because they added it to the START of the bill and then when I added a further 10% to the total
