Having tried both the bacon and egg mazemen and the salmon and cheese, I'd say the former is the best move for first-timers. Amazingly tasty. The egg gives it just the right consistency - not too dry.

A hidden treasure on 2nd level of Whole Foods. Specializing in mazemen- homemade ramen noodles minus the broth. Salmon/cheese mazemen is amazing. Daily shochu broth ramen made fresh is great as well.

Get the Omakase if you can. It books up fast, though. Five courses, all amazing. At the end of the meal Yuji asks which you liked best and it's seriously hard to choose. The Monkfish is a standout.

The bacon and egg mazumen is like a Japanese version of a Pasta Carbonara. Except it's even more egg and bacon filled, which makes it that much more delicious.

Mazemen is the star at this eponymous shop. Top your bowl with bacon and egg or smoked salmon and Camembert for added flavor. Soup lovers won’t be disappointed in the rotating daily shoyu dish.

Amazing food. The daily shoyu is a nice break from the overly salty and fatty tonkotsu that's the rage in ramen. Flavorful clear broth built from whatever fresh bones and veggies are in season.

The seriously al dente flavorful noodles will show you what you're missing at lesser ramen-ya. The rotating menu will keep you in your toes. The daily Shoyu is great, but don't miss the Mazemen.

Bacon and egg mazemen is the most flavorful; salmon and cheese is overly fishy. Portions are small tho - appetizer sized, so you might want to grab some extra food from the hot bar downstairs

After trying unsuccesfully to get a ticket for the test kitchen omakase for two months, I just learned you could come for ramen anytime. Great quick bite. Ramen is delicious!

Get the ramen tasting if you can. If you can't nab a seat for that, try a delicious mazemen - brothless ramen. The Salmon and Cheese is always fantastic.

The uni mazumen ramen and the ankimo miso ramen are incredible and not always available. If you can get them, DO IT.

Strikingly original mazeman (brothless) ramen for lunch, plus a $65 seafood ramen omakase menu at night that sells out in a flash.

Best ramen we've had in years! Not really traditional-style with the broth (though you can order it with broth), but the flavors are simply delectable!

"I didn't like ramen" & "making ramen is like making coffee" are among yuji's many memorable one-liners that will leave you speechless. The omakase is sure to stimulate mind and taste buds.

I am all about the bacon and egg mazumen. They take Square for payment. Hit up the snack counter for a Grady's cold brew while you're there.

nice improvements from smorgasburg. great noodle texture but portions are way too small for the price and they could use bigger bowls. get the combo for $3 more and ask for an extra napkin or two.

The food is delicious and half the size I expected for the cost. It should either be a bigger bowl or a few bucks cheaper.

Bacon and egg mazemen was derish but those other tips aren't kidding about the portion sizes being small. Also you have to pay for the barley tea. This is some fancy-ass pricing, folks.

Spicy tuna mazeman is not spicy, ask for some chili powder--they take it back from you though since the chef uses it.
