Great place to stop and collect information on things to do in the White Mountain National Forest. Good free maps and a cool gift shop. Worth the stop.

Around 1890 at least 200 significant hotels and boarding houses operated in the White Mountains region. Together, these lodging places could comfortably house up to 12,000 guests simultaneously.
