It's got a vintage vibe, very dark and secluded. Great for a late-night date spot that's not in a crowded area, yet close to the subway and other great spots.
Everything is unassuming and quintessential old school NYC. Dark, grungy, but still kinda cool, solid drinks never watered down. Service typically pretty good.
Try their Endless Summer cocktail. It tastes better w/cinnamon powder than w/the cinnamon stick. It's a very unique, strong and delicious drink...a little on the sweet side.
Below ground, Von has a few different rooms with different vibes and soundtracks. But all are privy to late-night dancing, custom-made drinks, and constant good times.
BEST hip hop/funk music on Thursday nights in the basement. Diverse crowd. Classy decor. I've only got love for this place. If you're looking to dance, look no place else.
Something special about this place, from the wood paneling mixed with deep beats, to the awesome bartender-hostess tending to drinks and the lapsed- as seen through a few sips of LaPhroaig.
Great place to chill on a week night. Decent wine selection and always fresh lilies on the bar. Has meat market tendencies, however. This can be good or bad, pending how frisky you're feeling.
Thieves alert... My friend and another girl in the club on their iPhones stolen. Useless bouncers... Don't go here unless you want to lose all your valuables. Also, my "Moscow Mule" has 0% vodka...
if you have to wait for a table at bianca next door, feel free to get a drink at von and the host/hostess will come find you in the bar when your table is ready
