The best Thai food in Houston and the spiciest damn papaya salad you'll ever eat. Make sure you call ahead before trekking to Long Point, they've been known to close early on a whim. [Eater 38 Member]

Delish drunken noodles, Ginger chicken was also really good with a delicate hand to the ginger so it wasn't overpowering. Overall wonderful meal.

Tried all the Thai in town, this one does look the best but it is the closest thing you will find to authentic Thai and I live in BKK 6 months so know a little bit about it...

The place is a true dive, really, but.it reminds me of Thailand. It's close to home cooking at best. The gaang dang, noodle soups, and gai wha are great. Kind of pricey for the area, and BYOB.

The Tom yum goong is delicious and the chicken basil is excellent as well. Chicken satay is juicy like nowhere else.

So far I have been unimpressed, the menu isn't impressive, can't substitute meats out of dishes. They do have a limited vegan menu. I also had to kill a roach. Not cool

Service was never Vieng Thai's forte, but food used to be good. Now, just resting on their laurels. Neither service nor food are good. Sad.
