The lunch special - any sandwich + fries $10. I had the crispy catfish and it was great. Nice atmosphere & seemed authentic. Stop by if your shopping on Fulton street
Pulled pork is a must (get Mac + cheese and cornbread too). The pork ribs are a little too dry. But you can fix that by slathering them in sauce. The wings are a nice surprise.
A bustling, if unglamorous barbecue spot, enjoying conspicuous location, proximity to BAM, and some deliciously and festive corn on the cob. The sandwiches outshine the dishes, but the brisket is tops
The short ribs are Brontosaurus-sized, and the Buffalo wings are funkified by smoking them first. It's a veritable melting pot of a barbecue joint, much like the city it's in. Read more
As much as I love it here, I really do, I don't think I will be back when it's hella busy! Ordered a Hot dog w/ketchup, mustard and beans & slaw. Simple yes?No! I got the hot dog & the slaw. #hurt
Nothing beats the trays of meats emerging from the smoker downstairs. Great smoked meats with BBQ sauce & amazing sides, and bourbon selection. Nothing fancy here, just food that'll make you happy.
Second time at the Smoke Joint, and I highly recommend it. The meats are deliciously BBQ'd Memphis style, so if you like sauce on your BBQ this isn't the pace to go. Otherwise definitely be there!
This place in the trendy clinton hill had a friendly staff, great bbq!!! and portioned sides that you could share. The ambiance was that of a homey feel. They make there own sauces and Drinks on site.
One of the best BBQ spots in BK, love their spare ribs. Relaxed divey feel, great meatless collard greens perfectly smoked (and I'm a collards connoisseur)
The sandwich special is a solid choice… I had the pulled pork with fries, pickles, and coleslaw for only $10. If you're into a more vinegary BBQ, then this is a spot for you.
The chopped-beef sandwich stands out on the regular menu, and so do the Flintstone-size beef ribs from which the sandwich is made, available two to an order on their own. Read more
On a nice weekend afternoon grab a seat outside on the deck and enjoy people watching while you take a break from your Catfish Sandwich with Spicy French Fries.
The food comes out really fast which is great. And everything is very flavorful. I tried the wings, ribs, pulled chicken, baked beans, corn on the cob and fries. #delicious #food
6/10. My fellow diners said the brisket was very tough. I had the pulled pork and it was amazingly tasty and tender. We never got our sides so service could be improved.
Super affordable. Brooklyn wings are a great starter. Fries are good catfish sandwich is tasty. Mac and cheese is nothing to write home about, but all in all Smoke Joint a solid BBQ place!
I went last week and had the fried cat fish, a side of mac and the meatless greens. I was full and happy! Try the "tiger woods". Its ice tea and lemonade. Very very refreshing for the nice weather.
The mac & cheese was really good.... also ask for Jennifer when u go. She can hook a drink up.. if ur there tey the teue friend drink.. trust me ubwont be dissapointed
What back with my sister/friend and now asking when are we going again. Love this place and we made a new friend. Shout out to all the teachers out there.
It'd be really great if they'd offer a sampler plate with a few ribs, some pulled pork, some brisket, like most BBQ places do. I'd be here all the time.
The best BBQ (pulled-pork) you will have north of the Mason-Dixon. Plus a great Bourbon selection to boot! Like sittin' on the back porch, just make sure to wear elastic waisted pants.
There’s not much better in this world than sitting outside and enjoying an Iceberg Wedge salad (with bacon), a Hot Links sandwich and a Kinda Sweet Tea.
Service is unfortunately terrible. That being said, the corn-on-the-cob is their best dish. Skip the Beef Brisket, and Mac-and-Cheese and try the ribs. Also, like their spicy BBQ sauce at the table.
Tip from Texans: Beef short ribs > pulled pork. Sides: Corn > greens > baked beans. BBQ sauce: sweet and the spicy ones are too runny. Beef ribs and corn were winners.
I'm not actually eating right now. (Damn diet!!!). I'm outside drooling wishing I could be inside gettin down on some ribs and Mac n cheese! Everything is oh so good here!!
Fort Greene’s favorite BBQ spot brings the hot meat-on-meat action by topping a Black Angus dog with pulled pork, beef or chicken (and some homemade coleslaw). Read more
