    Cafes like this are fantasized in movies, where waitresses call you darlin' as you order a black coffee with the best chickenfried steak in town while hunched over the cafe counter on a leather stool.

    The food is fantastic and the people are as nice as can be, even nicer than Iowans. Cowboy beans and deep fried zucchini hit the spot as far as sides go. A must visit in Lubbock for brunch.
