This place is pretty versatile, good for a fancy date and also getting a bushel of ‘Steamers’ and beers with your buds. Haven’t seen New England Style Steamed Clams anywhere else in Shanghai.
A number of the dishes like the salmon are cooked over a giant fire pit which is cool to watch, but no matter what you order here, you won’t be disappointed. 🥩 🔥 🐟
It’s not cheap, but the food is awesome. The service is a little spotty, especially if you sit outside where the hostess is. She’ll radio a waitress when you flag her, but it can be quite a while.
Lively and hip atmosphere with nice menu items for both drinks and dinner. Really like the bone marrow with beef tartar, the gazpacho was surprising great and the steak was yummy as well.
The Nest now has a rival in the form of its own sister venue The Cannery. The Canada-centric concept has become a fast favourite, soaking up customers in the west of the city. Sibling rivalry? You bet
Whether brunch, lunch or dinner, The Cannery guarantees a gastronomical experience. The Charred Reuben and KFC are my absolute favorites. The dinner menu offers more choice. Bone Marrow on toast, YUM!
Delicious seafood. Only critique was the loud and obnoxious music during dinner. I wanted to have a good time with food. Not a club with my fish dinner.
It has not been as good as before, service has been a bit slow but crews are very nice. Hope they can be the same as what they were when they started. A lot of things was not in the menu too.
