Saw Tove Lo here and I was honestly impressed with how nice the venue was in general. There are three levels that overlook the main stage so you can honestly get a great view of the artist everywhere.
Great staff and well spaced for different kinds of fans of the music playing. You have a large open floor and two more levels of balconies for people to enjoy the shows. Cheap tickets too
Huge venue, huge shows. Bars on each floor, beware the makeshift bar on the first floor and go directly to the REAL bar unless you're just ordering a beer. Also beware of craigslist fake tickets!
People might complain, but T5 has held some amazing concerts in this 3 floored space. Good views no matter what level you're on. Fun fact: nicest bathrooms I've ever seen in a venue.
If your idea of a good show is to stand on a 3rd floor balcony and watch it on some flat panel TVs next to 1,100 mental toddlers from Hoboken, you've come to the right place.
Unless your under 22 the best place to enjoy shows is on the 3rd fl. lounge area near the bar. Your here to enjoy live music. You don't need your eyes for that, people hovering around the rails annoy
Need better check in/security process, the line was wrapped around the block and show started and still ppl were trying to get in. I got there 45min before and still missed the 1st 45min of the show.
Currently here seeing Flying Lotus. Best place to be is on the main floor on the raised bar from the back so you have easy access to brews and you don't get your ears blown out like you're used to.
One of the best music venues in NYC. It gets big time acts but also is General Admission, so you can get right in the middle of the pit or right in front of the stage.
The venue hosts big time acts but suffers from some bad sights lines if you aren't on the floor or hanging off the side of one of the levels. The sound is good on some nights. The bathrooms are great.
If you're here, it's probably because T5 booked a band you really love. So suck it up, arrive early, get a spot on the floor, and enjoy the show, despite the venue smelling like a locker room.
Great concert venue! Avoid standing all the way in the back. The amount of people going back and forth, drove me crazy. Acoustics aren't that great but every band plays there!
Big venue with multiple floors overlooking the stage, but get there early if you want to camp out along the railing for a good view. Exit doors to left of stage don't get opened after show oddly.
SECRET: GO TO THE SECOND FLOOR. FIND A TABLE BY THE RAILING. SIT UNDERNEATH TABLE. ENJOY SHOW IN OWN PRIVATE BUBBLE WITH FEET DANGLING AND NO ONE SHOVING YOU TO GET TO THE FRONT. YOU'RE WELCOME.
Great venue. Speakers can really pump the bass and the crowd is energetic. The balconies are great if you don't want to see the act. Get into the crown to really feel it. (4 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more
Not the best music venue in NYC (by far!) but still an enjoyable place to catch a show, especially if you've got a prime front row spot on the balcony level!
This is definitely not one of my fav venues. This is the place for touring acts who pass through. It's a multi leveled space and it usually gets pretty packed when it's a good show.
Originally an old factory, this three story venue hosts some of the biggest indie bands in town. For the best seats in the house, get here early and snag a table on one of the mezz levels--the third f
This is one of the largest venues for live music in NYC, so it can get quite crowded – think lines galore. The acoustics are ok, but they do get great headliners.
This tri-level venue brings in must-see acts, from Lady Gaga toThe Gossip. Tip: Stake out a spot at the back of the main floor's bar; you'll get perfect views of the stage and easy-access to beer.
Right in Hells Kitchen, be sure to check out their huge stage where every artist plays at one point in his/her career. Security can be tough, but the sound inside the venue is worth it!
Great sound system, but the band has to be really loud and extremely captivating of the entire audience to offset the soul-sucking qualities this venue has.
Great concert venue. The three levels are great, your view is great from anywhere. In summer though, beware the heat gets deadly, despite a blasting AC. Prepare to sweat.
Saw one republic here, one of the best live shows I've ever seen and the acoustics were just fine. I was previously a touringmusician and played in hundreds of venues across the us. Great venue
So, my GF had a thai chicken wrap and a cookie left over from dinner. Security wouldn't let her in with either nor let her give them to a homeless person. Security kept the cookie, tossed the wrap:)
