Low traffic airport, spaciousdeparture areas but poor level of shops and restaurants. Very basic business lounge. Prices of available fragrances at duty free shop can be quite competitive!
Let's just say that Bulgarians deserve a better airport. On the plus side there is WiFi. On the negative side just about everything else I am afraid :-)
Eat, drink, and go to toilette prior to come. Price in duty-free shop is higher than in the city itself. Small airport, 1:30 prior to your departure is enough.
There are not so many places with good coffee or food. The deli sandwiches bar offers coffee for 5x price, than in the city. To go to city on citybus use bus 84 till OrlovMost(subway too)
Unlimited free WiFi is an amazing facility; however no power plugs are available so make sure that any device is charged before reaching the airport...food choices are limited and rather overpriced.
Finally after so many years, Terminal 2 looks like a normal European airport with shops, food places, restaurants and spots to relax. Thanks god! It was like hospital corridor before. :)
An unexciting airport with a few dull shops & cafes in departures. There's free WiFi in the airport & some charging points at gates. Get your taxi from the OK TAXI stand in arrivals - ignore touts.
Food and drink options are very limited and of minor quality just like shops in general. The Airport is small so no need to be there one hour before departure. free and fast Wifi!
If you have a connecting flight and haven't checked-in online, repeat that a few times at the counter. For transportation take the M1 metro train next to terminal 2.
Not the best experience in case of a flight delay or cancellation! When we passed security controls, There was nobody to ask about our flight status! We had to call, search in web etc !
For water after passport control, prefer the Buy&Bye shop (1 lev instead of 3 other shops charge).Gates are strange-you arrive and see nothing but a transparent door-wait till open, then go downstairs.
People at the duty-free cash desks are extremely impolite. I don't expect a royal-like etiquette, but a simple "hello"or not talking to a friend while processing your items will make a big difference.
Use only "OK Supertrans" taxi. Make sure they have a meter. Sky Cafe charges double: 8 leva for a sandwich, 5 leva for a bottle of coke. Rude staff. You may get cursed for not tipping (B6).
Airport is small and effective. Does not strike you with luxury or style but it's cozy. If you have a long stay here, don't hesitate to stop by Preslav Lounge - costs 15 EUR.
Small airport. If you can, don't go too early cause there's not much to do & not much power outlets. Buy your snacks here to avoid buying over-priced ones on the plane.
Only three identical cafés after customs, with poor coffee and almost no proper food. Eat before you go to the airport! Plenty of alcohol available though!
