Stopped in this spot because I was running late and needed a quick slice. Much better than I was expecting; pretty good plain slice and garlic knots.

Located directly across #NYU Center for Genomics and Systems Biology is Pizza Mercato... and their delectable Mixed Vegetable Pie. Getting broccoli on pizza basically makes it a salad, right? 😜

2 toppings on a slice ($3.50) is the way to go. Pizza Mercato charged $3.25 for just 1. (The price for 1 topping isn't listed on the wall menu.)

A decent basic slice that has upped the sauce quotient in the past few years is usually on offer. But the foursquare special of a free soda with "any purchase" was not given to me on Aug. 20, 2011.
