Their basic spaghettibolognese is surprisingly impressive. Sweetbreads are decadent, burgers & warm butter cake are addictive. The carbonara is one of the best in SF, the lasagna a must-try
It's still got it's good food even though it was formally known as Westlake Joe's now new management under original Joe's as well good atmosphere and good servers,T,Y.
Great food! Great memories from the past but now even better. Raviolis still great. My husband had the Reuben Sandwich and it was amazing. They have a good bar and tv screens. The decor is beautiful!
Daly City is woeful when it comes to its assortment of bars. It’s ok,hit up Original Joe’s Westlake. They have a wide assortment of spirits and great cocktails. If whisk(e)y is your thing you’re set.
Fabulous veal parmesan, and Christian Campos the bartender makes you feel so welcome and at home, and makes a superb drink. He even delivers it himself!
If you order the burger (and you should), be sure to ask for it char broiled. That used to be the default, but now you have to ask for it specifically.
The 🍔burger is extremely large on a big sourdoughbun, and half was almost too much. Split it! Also, it’s an older crowd who’s used to overcooked meat 🥩 so I’d recommend medium rare or cooler
No longer lives up to the charming greatness that once was Westlake Joe's, though the standby waits still span 90+ mins! Oversalted food, disappointing meat quality, poor value & slow wait service.
