This new addition to the high-end sushi scene is for connoisseurs who love dining at the whim of the chef. The restaurant serves edomae (traditional sushi) in an omakase format only.
Good omakase with variety. I liked that they opened with a few non-sushi items. All fish was very fresh. Our chef for the night was a very nice older Japanese man. Wait staff was also very pleasant.
Fresh fish, skilled sushi making but seriously unpleasant chefs: ours was from Beijing and schooled rather than told us about what was in our plates. Pass on this place for sheer unfriendliness.
$150 Omakase is enough to fill you up without overeating. Very delicious food. They clearly put effort into what they serve. Cool ambiance. Must make reservation in advance
The 200 omakase is delicious. Do it once (if you like the additional items) and then you're good to do 150 on future occasions. Appetizers and sashimi is delicious. Nigiri is extremely fresh, chefs a+
I so wanted to love this place. Staff is absolutely tremendous (Shar is a tiny powerhouse of a manager) but the sushi was unfort underwhelming esp for the price. Plenty of better sushi around the city
They are ok. For the price, not impressed with the quality. Our salmon sashimi was not fresh- was lightly salted- which happens, but then don't sell it as a fresh high quality dish
