This is the best zoo in the country. It has the largest indoor desert, swamp, and rainforest in the world. Other highlights include an amazing aquarium, gorilla valley, and view on the chairlifts!
Absolutely incredible. Great value and beautiful exhibits. If you are claustrophobic I would avoid the aquarium on the weekends. It can get very tight in the walkway. But for good reason. Beautiful.
Definitely expected it to be "just another zoo", but I was wrong. It was easily the best zoo I've ever been to. It's huge and modern, and they have some very rare animals.
Very large zoo. You easily can spend all day here. If it’s rainy or cold you can basically stay inside for 1/3 of the zoo between the dome, jungle, aquarium, butterfly and gorilla buildings.
I am actually from St. Louis, Missouri but have visited this zoo once a year since 2017. It is, by far, the closest zoo to utter perfection and it is only getting better. Definitely worth a visit.
Kingdoms of the Night is very cool...but please do not use flash photography! Many of the animals are very sensitive to light and they will hide from view when they see a bright flash.
This is the best zoo in the country. I haven't been in quite a few years, and they have made incredible improvements to what was already pretty amazing.
Excellent zoo to visit with a wide range of animals to view. Plenty of ways to get around. Amazing indoor exhibits as well. Excellent value for what you pay.
Amazing zoo. We bought a pass because with my family it was paid for in two trips. But we go again and again. Totally worth it. It took several trips for us to see everything.
My dad and I have come here every summer since I was in the 2nd grade. In 21 now and we still make a point to come every year. On of my favorite places on earth.
If you usually visit in the morning, try coming by in the afternoon (or visa versa). You get to see a lot of different animal behaviors at different times of day!
Largest cat complex in North America; world's largest nocturnal exhibit & indoor swamp; one of the largest indoor rainforest, & the world's largest indoor desert, & glazed geodesic dome in the world
A place where adults can be a kid again! It is a very large zoo, and it has a I Max theater. My son goes with his four year old nephew when he has a day off!
This zoo has some of the world’s largest indoor exhibits, for year-round fun. “My boys sit in front of the gorillas, and they all make faces at each other.” – Sarah Darling, American Baby reader
