Fantastic view of the Sound with a really neat lighthouse. I hope the city will do more to make the buildings look less dilapidated and perhaps include a museum in the near future.

It's a long hike to the lighthouse from general parking. All uphill back. Closest lot is by Daybreak Cultural Center. Permit parking and 2 handicap spaces only at bottom of drive near lighthouse.

I've long wondered what a cell-phone tower looking thing was behind the lighthouse at Discovery Park. Turns out it belongs to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, a weather device. Read more

Park and walk all the way out to the lighthouse. Get the lighthouse and Olympic Mountains in frame. You can take it from either side, depending on where the sun is. This is spectacular at sunset.
